    but it is cold!

Shez, I'm in Bow and it was snowing here earlier. Right now it's doing that horrible sleety stuff with flakes of snow in it. And it is cold. And there are joggers in Vicky park in shorts and Tshirts - MAD!

    Hello everybody,

Well our week in Ireland is nearly coming to a close. We've had a great time and met some lovely people :D. After leaving Snowy's we got to Dublin where we met up with a fellow Aussie. Had a few drinks at the pub where we were staying and then the band started up. :D Another late night.

I'm getting too old for this. Feel absolutely shattered. Lots of snow on the way up. Got here late this arv and then walked all around the city. Freezing.

    VickyA Happy Birthday for yesterday

    Soba Happy Birthday

Hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday. Byeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    :hello: neighbour Shez, icon7.gif

:rotfl: :rotfl: at the choccy! Good thinking... but, it's way too cold to venture out again tonight.

Watching the joggers I kind of knew how cold their legs must be in the rain and wind, then I wondered how it was that I knew that, then remembered that I used to be totally mad and run in all weathers as well! Thank goodness I grew out of it :o Brrrrrr icon9.gif

I think you are right about the smog. Did you just have a few minutes of blue skies? this weather is really wierd

Glad you had a good stay in the Emerald Isle Aussielass. I think you were very brave to be there for St Patrick's day :D Hope you get a bit of a break now.

VickyA, sorry to hear about Thursday's interview, their loss. Fingers crossed for the maternity leave one. As to the racist attitudes, it's horrible to think that there is still so much prejudice about.

  • Racy Red I haven't got a link I'm afraid - I was responding to somebody's aside in an earlier link. I can however tell you that my late Father - a Chartered Accountant - said that off shore accounts were the refuge of rakes and scoundrels:rotfl:

I've had an e-mail from my Manager at work to say can she have my sick note asap as I'm officially absent without leave. Well, if my GP's receptionist had given my GP the right message and my GP had managed to issue me one BEFORE DH had to go up to Glasgow for his Dad she might have had it. It's too far for me to trog as well with a huge dressing on my tummy. It's going to affect my pay now - boo hiss...............

Oh that's it I, I know where there's a bar of fruit and nut and I'm not afraid to use it!!!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Well I am at the end of my patience, I just want out of this damned house....we have had another argument about OH's son and his attitude to wards OH. Everytime I say anything I can feel the waves eminating from OH and I have had enough, the stress is killing me................I have been in tears most of the afternoon, I feel sick..........I just want to get out away from all the things that are going on round about us........The pain in my hip is sending me round the bend, its affecting the whole of my right hip and leg, my hands have almost seized up I can only type with 1 finger, so posting is taking ages.

I am supposed to be going to see my friend tomorrow, don't know if I will be able to drive the car.

I am off to get a bath and go to bed, perhaps if I can get some sleep I might be able to cope with all this a bit better. I do not have enough energy to sit and watch OH's face every time something come up regarding his son.

I don't know the full story but sympathise if he isn't being as kind as he should be to you.

It sounds like the stress isn't doing you any good at all
