    Morning Chums ,
very cold here in the medway but as yet no snow . Odd sort of weather yesterday ,all sunny and blue skies one minute, then hailstorms and drenching rain the next .Hope it stays dry today as I am helping my youngest DD to take loads of junk to the tip. She has got her de-toxing hat well and truly on her head this week, and it's a case of 'It's got to go.' Appaently yesterday afternoon she made her OH take around teen bags of junk to the tip.Today we are getting rid of even more . She has four bedrooms, and a lot of the stuff is broken toys, and bits of junk of the children's .
Anything that is salvagable is going to the charity shop though. The youngest three boys seem to grow like weeds, and I know she has a sack of baby stuff for the local Sense shop.
I can see mee having a busy day today.
I have still to finish my essay for Uni ,only needs tidying up a bit, so that shouldn't take too long.Home -made Shepard's Pie for dinner tonight I was very industrious yesterday morning and mad half a doxen for the freezer.
I had a lovely Mothers day and was quite spolit by my two smashing daughters .My eldest gave me lots of smellies, and a cushion ,and half a pair of new Nike Air Max trainers, and a great new blank note book and pen to do my daily 'Jackie's Blog' in when I go to America next month, also a stack of guide books for my trip. The youngest gave me the other half of said trainers and chocolate and some stuff for my Bonzai tree, scissors, feed, and a book about them. Also a Neil Sedaka CD and some chocolate. So I was loaded down with goodies when I eventually got home last night .I had a lovely dinner at my DD's and the children and I played our normal noisy games of Sunday afternoon Ludo. I am looking forward to my holiday ,but I shall miss the grandchildren dreadfully. Well I hope everyone has a good day today ,i know it's Monday and the weather is a bit grotty ,but Wednesday is supposed to be the first day of spring and the clocks will soon be changing and before you know it we shall all be moaning about how hot it is .<<<Hugs to those in need >>> and big smiles to the rest of you
    Take care all.

    Morning Everyone

There was heavy snow here at 5.30am on my way to work. Went shopping over the weekend for the finishing touches to my mayor's ball outfit.

Meant to be kick boxing tonight, but I've hurt my arm, so I'm not going.

Really don't want to be at work today. Not feeling the love!!!!

    Hope everyone's ok

morning all - moggins hope those trips to the lone parent advisor and housing benefit office go well. No snow here - in fact it's deceptively sunny outside - i wish it owuld make it's mind up - i have seedlings which will be taking over the house triffid-like if I don't get them outside soon. Not got a lot planned today except to drop dgs off to his mum's and take her for breakfast out - little thank you for her for sorting out my garden. I suspect she got a social fund loan to pay for it all and estimate that she is paying about £9 a week back so I'm going to try to offset it a bit surreptitiously (sp) by dropping in some groceries every now and then along the lines of "ooh look I accidentally bought too much eggs and milk this morning - could you take them off my hands for me" :)
have a good day all :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Hi all. Snowy, snowy day here in Stoke. Last night was quite bad, and as we live on a very steep bank there were quite a few motorists caught out, and a couple of abandonments on the road. Hopefully school will be open today and we can pack the kids off in a while, will have to listen to the radio for news of closures.
It's my birthday today, but due to an administrative error, most of my cards are missing! Think either my self or DH have put them up somewhere safe, and can't remember where. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you reach the grand old age of 45...!!
  • ((((hugs)))) to little-me - hope you're feeling better today and Oh is being nice to you xx
