does 6 seperate periods mean 6 days or 6 occasions?

Noone has mentioned it at work and I asked my line manager to make sure and she said my attendance is fine but....
I was off
January - 2 days
March - 1 day
April - 3 WORKING days
June - 1 day (yesterday)
Does that mean I have had 4 of the seperate occasions or 6? as 2 + 1 + 3 + 1 - 6?

If the January and April abences were not separate days then you have had 4 periods of absence which total 7 days.
I'm surprised that a company would find that amount of absence in 6 months "fine".0 -

Not bad considering I am one of the ones with good attendance. Their is alot what don;t make a full month0 -
7 days sick is a lot over 4 periods in 6 mths. My last company would start a disciplinary if you had more than 10 days in a rolling period or 12 mths, no matter if it was one block of 10 days or 10 single days.
Depends the ones where you had 3 & 2 days were together or 3 and 2 seperate single days?0 -

4 episodes, 6 days.
What are the triggers for your sickness policy?
I have to say, I think most employers would be less suspicious if you had one long episode with a clear reason like a broken leg or a chest infection etc. rather than lots of sporadic days here and there.
You have to be pretty unlucky to keep regularly getting one of the few things that make you completely unfit for work one day but fine the day before and the day after. Single day episodes smack of duvet day or hangover.0 -
