(((((hugs))))) lil_me. Sorry I overlooked your post earlier! What a berk... clearly doesn't know how lucky he is
Well, am back from concert. Definitely worth going. Excellent performance. Also, ran into one of my favourite opera singers, in the audience (her hubby was singing in the concert so she was there with the kids - yikes, the last time I saw their son he was 15 months, he's now 9! And their daughter, I last saw pics in a birth announcement email! She's now 7). And the conductor was extremely easy on the eye, especially from behind(this picture doesn't do him justice)
I've had an invitation today to my cousin's baby's dedication service. Yay! I am ashamed to say that I haven't yet seen cousin's baby in the flesheven though I am only in SE London and they are in N London
I have put it firmly in my diary already as I was mortified a couple of months ago when I FORGOT TO GO TO A FRIEND'S BABY'S BAPTISM PARTY
I wasn't going to be at the service anyway because of a clash with something at my own church, but had said I would go to the reception... how embarrassed was I when I remembered TWO WEEKS LATER that I should have been there
Anyway, bedtime - night night :wave:Operation Get in Shape

taplady, i'm sure you didn't mean it, but your post about using someones phone came across really badly. granted it might not have been pleasant to look at, but these strangers did you a favour. i am sure being stranded all night in your broken van would have been worse. you interrupted their saturday night and asked to use their phone which they kindly allowed you to do and even had the decency to offer you something to drink, whether you wanted to or not. i am sure they didn't expect their generosity to be maligned and the state of their house posted on a public forum. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090
