Glad things are looking a bit better.

I won't attempt to guess your news but if it is going to further study, setting up a business or "anything else" then good luck.

In fact "Good Luck" whatever it is as you deserve it.

    Evening all

Strange day, DS had to take key to the parent of one of his houseshare who lives nearby as he has decided not to go home for easter and DS had switch off some controller for the TV locked in his room. From there went to the large Tesco where we hadnt been for years. Got what he wanted, and found a load of fish yellow stickered, quite a bit of which is now in my freezer, salmon, smoked cod, smoked haddock, whole mackrel, prawns, not to mention some Argentinia Fillet Steak. Rather expensive when I didnt really need anything, but savings for the future, so long term MS.
The DS and DH decided to make a dessert they saw Jamie Oliver make this morning, 2 hours 40 minutes to make Praline Semi-Freddo. At that they didnt get the egg whites to whip up, so ended up helping with that, but had a nice nap while they were playing as I had been kicked out of the kitchen.
They then made the lamb roast dinner, and it was all fine. Now two bottles of wine between 3 of us later, trying to keep my eyes open!

Many thanks for the birthday wishes

I've had a lovely day and I've eaten far too much. :D I spent the afternoon gawping at rugby players' legs in tight shorts, so a very successful day.

I've got an ebay package to parcel up, so I'll go and catch up with you all tomorrow.

thank you all for your lovely wishes. we had a wonderful time at kennedy's baptism, there was another baby being washed and called names today, as well as a lady being enrolled in the mothers union, so it was a very busy service, but it was a nice break from the lentern services.
hope that every one else had a lovely mothers day, and that it wasn't too sad for people remembering loved ones lost.
    hugs to all.

    Good evening all,

it's been a very windy day here weatherwise - ventured outside at one point and it was soooooo cold. Waiting to see if the snow makes it to us - hopefully won't be too bad if it does, I hate driving in the stuff

Not a terribly busy weekend, which has been good - I was tired and was glad of the break. We were disappointed that we couldn't get to go see twink for mothers day, but with the weather the way it has been, we didn't want to risk it. So she will have to get her card next weekend. Happy Mothers Day Twink! :j

OS - usual stuff today. WM and TD been on, and made a nice chicken curry for tea. Treated myself and had a couple of cups of coffee with squirty cream on them though :p

    Happy birthday VickyA! :bdaycake:
heather38 - good to hear eveything went well today

*hugs* to all who need them (especially lil-me and anyone else not feeling good)

Goodness what a lovely day I've had. Middle dd sent me out with her boyfriend to get something for his mum as he pretended not to know how to get to Hammersmith and when I got back she had finished the garden, set up two sun loungers and a patio set that she had bought. She had also set up the barbecue and bought loads of food which she was already cooking. She had done all this in a freak hailstorm so we had a freezing cold afternoon in the garden huddled around the bbq and lazing on the loungers in our coats :) It was wonderful! On mother's day three years ago she told me that she had something to say that she didn't think I would like ... she was pregnant at 14 and our world collapsed into a chaos of social workers, EWO's and all sorts. she had been very very challenging for the previous two years but she wanted this baby and she stuck to her guns even though everyone, including me, was against the idea. Well she has proved everyone wrong and is a fantastic mother and still got 5 good gcses and the garden was her way of saying thank you for supporting her then and now. dgs was very naughty and wouldn't put his shoes on to go home and was threatened with having to stay at nana's for the night so guess what ... he's still here which will make for a very trying school morning tomorrow .. . ah well. I am 40 and have friends who are having first babies now and don't know how they do it - one afternoon with a 2yo and I'm knackered - I will drop him home on the way back from school tomorrow.

Have a good evening all :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
  • Happy mothers day to all (just about). Goodness the thread is very quiet today. Only 3 pages at nearly 10pm. Guess everyone is busy being looked after by kiddies today!

I have not posted earlier (not cos I have been out) but because I have found a new 'toy'. My dad told me about google earth-sorry if you all know about it and I am behind the times etc.
For anyone who doesn't know you type in a place and it uses satelite pics to show you it. I have seen my house, my parents house, new york and most of disney. You can even focus it on seaworld and see some dark blobs in the shamu pool! a good complement to Shamucam!!:D
Any way will force myself to turn it off and go to bed as have to be at work at 7am.
    bye for now

Thanks all. To those who sent a PM thankyou, helped a lot. Part of me was just thinking am I just being silly. It's been a mixed bag day but I'm still standing.

Braved the winds and blizzard took the boys to a play area and had tea there (it's not just kids slop on a plate, they have a proper chef and he makes some yummy but inexpensive food) anyway, within minutes DS1 was 'ran into' and his glasses went flying and the lens came out and is still missing (have to call them tomorrow, my Dad said he will collect it for me if it's there as it's 15 mile from me) anyway, the boys played nicely, then went to my Mam's to take her some wine and choccies. Well the boys did nothing but play up there, we lasted all of 5 minutes and had to leave before something was broken.

Got home to find DS2 had dropped the yale lock on the way out. Downside-DP had only key for it (I've lost mine :o) anyway, had to go find him to get the key (he was in the middle of getting himself ready at his brothers and didn't seem impressed when I arrived)

Anyway, got home, got boys bathed and to bed, DS1 the bad sleeper just gone to sleep, with such a chaotic day I almost forgot to make his jellies until I came on here, so they are done.

Looking forward to going to bed, but probably won't get to sleep as my heads all over the place. Of course DP still won't see what he's done. Should call him Jack, because he's alright Jack!

Oh and chocs I got Mam were on offer so got 2 boxes, pleased as DS2 opened one and took one out, but I now have major toothache from eating some of them :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........
