Im back from the coldest footy match ever!!!!:o
It hailed nearly all the way through, ds scored in first half then came off in second half as the cold had took his breath away so much he was struggling to breath!!! Took him to the car to warm up and aparently dh tells me it all kick off on pitch, other team scored a goal that was offside putting them in lead at 3-4, then the ref suggested the match was abandonned at that score!! DS1 Manager said no, and they played on and the match finished 4-4:D
We have just about warmed up and chicken dinner is smelling lovely.
Hope you are all enjoying your day, kids bought me a lovely new mug filled with chocolates and marshmellows and a really cute mini chocolate gratter, which i will be having later after a big bubble bath.
Plus im on my first glass of wine !!
Crazychik the clothes would be great thank you, you know me im not one to turn down secondhand clothes.
Hugs to all
donna

Afternoon :hello:
Happy Birthday VickyA :bdaycake:
Heather38 - hope baby's baptism went... I was going to say swimmingly and then realised how that sounded :rotfl: you know what I mean... I hope!
And Happy Mothering Sunday to everybody. I sent my mum a card with a picture of a cat stretching its head up the way they do when they're being stroked, with the caption "mum, you're the cat's whiskers"I have been trying to phone her but assume she's busy, I hope she is OK what with Grandma having died only recently. It's almost the 2nd anniversary of my Grannie's death, too - didn't realise it had been so long, until the priest mentioned her name in the prayers this morning!
Today I'm busy as ever - just got home from church via running several errands. I'm off out again at 4:45 or so to go to a concert that starts at 6:00. At least it should finish early! This happens to me all the time, I have tickets to something which I would hate to miss even though I really don't fancy going out tonight!
Oooo, I think this is my 3,000th post unless I'm very much mistaken (mental note: must spend less time on here)
Anyway, must be off to rustle up something to eat. Have got all sorts of yummy, interesting, healthy grub in the cupboards and all I fancy is a cheese and marmite sandwich
((((hugs)))) if you need them

Afternoon,
Was up at the usual time this mornng, my body must be getting used to getting up at silly o clock.
Did a couple of loads of washing which have been hung on the airer and are more or less dry. Done half the ironing, will do the other half later. Have cleaned the bathroom and the hall.
Going to clean the kitchen in a minute. Have been invited to a friends later for dinner, but will make lasagne anyway and have it ready for tomorrow.
Breakfast: Pancakes
Lunch: Leftover Chinese
Dinner: At friends
Hope you all have a good day.We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

Happy Birthday Vicky...........
We are back from the boot sale, not quite so good as last week, but have got rid of quite a bit. Bitter wind, thankful we were undercover.......up at 5.45am after still being awake at 2am, so a quick snooze when I got back......we made £43.......so with the float etc I have £88 to bank tomorrow and another load of left overs to take to the charity shop. There was a stall who sell stuff for a charity, I gave them the pick of what was left.......they took quite a bit.....we ended up with 2 stalls, someone had booked 3 stalls behind us and they did not show up, so the organiser told us to spread out, did not need a second invite........
Cold gammon and salald for supper with Jacket spuds, we had our 'Sunday supper' yesterday.
Card through the post from DD2 yesterday, no sign of DD1 as yet and DS1 & 2 never remember that they have a mother, so thats fine by me........
Right I am off to open a bottle of wine, I think I deserve it.....cheers folks....Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

DD(13) brought me up a tray with tea and toast this morning and made me a home made card which her sisters signed.
DD(21) phoned from Newcastle to wish me happy mother's day.
Made a huge Sunday lunch at home which everyone enjoyed and have soaked peas ready to put pea and ham soup in the slow cooker tomorrow.
Hugs to moggins and TM and anyone else having "Interesting Times"."This site is addictive!"
