If you change the "27" in '27yr old living an old mans life - help!' to "Twenty-seven", you can see:

Twenty-seven yr old living an old mans life - help!

This is sooo similar to Grasper1970's thread.

:( you say you love her BUT are you still IN love with her?! theres a difference

IMO once the love has gone you cant get it back, once you get to the "brother and sister" stage

    QUOTE]

Of course there's a difference between being in love and loving someone. Loving is what lasts, what you build a life together with. Being in love is great but it wears off . It's the people who keep looking to be "in love" all the time who're largely responsible for all the divorces in the world!

I'm afraid I have to disagree. I've been with my husband 10 years (married 2 and half) and I am still very much in love with him. The people who are looking to be "in love" all the time as you put it are actually "in lust" a huge difference as far as I'm concerned.

Spliting up a relationship is a very difficult decision to make, but you shouldn't put your life on hold, to pay off your debts and "hope" it gets better, the longer you leave it the harder it will get. Sit her down, explain how you feel and that you are seriously considering whether there is a future if the realtionship stays the way it is. This at least lets her know your cards and see what she says. Try writing down all the things you want to cover and change (I wouldn't include her change of size/shape) look specifically at the relationship issues, if you resolve these, you may find she takes more pride in herself.

    Good luck.

Thanks - I too have been reading this wondering what a TROLL was !! (I thought it was some text-speak acronym for CHAV or something ......).

That is really disappointing to be honest - I am not sure how much pleasure he would get from this thread, but I hope it was worth it.

I don't understand why. If somebody (and this could be male or female) seems to lose respect for themselves, do they not need keeping on their toes a little? What could be wrong with that??

Speaking as a woman, when men have done this to me it just makes me feel insecure, unhappy and resentful.

Of course, if the OP decided to do this his girlfriend might feel the same way, and in turn might just decide to boot him out. His problem is solved. Or it might just make her overeat more out of insecurity.

I think it's the kind of medicine that shouldn't be tried unless the patient is already dying anyway.

I think the evidence is that this is a sham.

Unless I am covinced to the contrary, I shall assume the OP to be a sad-lad and leave this thread to die out naturally.

Interesting responses though but equally good detective work all.
