The prices of food and drink are a disgrace. In fact I wouldn't go to the ground again if you paid me. It might be nice and shiney, but it's still a sh*t hole. The old ground may not have been the prettiest, but the new ground has had all the life and soul sucked out of it. You are more or less directed into the stadium directly on arrival. There are no stalls selling merchandise on the outside concourse of the stadium everything is inside. That was one of the best parts of the old ground. The outside vendors selling burgers, souveniers, programmes, sitting on the grass banks with a beer and a burger, having a laugh with the rival fans.

A waste of money if ever there was one. I'd rather visit the Millenium Stadium anyday.

    Hi

Am due to go to the Saracens Leinster Heiniken cup match on the 16th October.

Just wondered if the same rules are still applying (i.e. bag searches and consfiscation of any food and drink).

And if anyone had been recently, how how pricey/good the food was.

Also.... is it easy to find and get to from the train station

Sorry, cheeky asking for so much info esepcially as its money saving !

When I went to see Take That :o last year, I could take a water bottle in but the tops were removed. We had to open our bags, but didn't see much in the way of things being removed, although we didn't take any food in. Food was pretty awful and expensive!
ETA: Unlike the above post, there was plenty of stalls selling outside the sadium, so maybe it depends on the event?
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

    Try The Emirates.

    " Food and Drink
Food within reason is allowed into the Stadium. Soft drinks in small plastic bottles and flasks are also allowed. Aluminium cans and alcohol are NOT allowed into the Stadium.

    Water
Tap water is freely available from the concessions . Please queue in the normal way and on request you will be given a plastic cup of water."

If you do wish to buy food in the stadium the prices are reasonable, as a result all the food/drink outlets are very well used.

I've been a few times - both football and music - and have taken food in without having to hide it. But drinks I think did have to have their lid taken off which is a bit of a pain. And another time I bought burger and chips and it was ok quality and while expensive what do you expect? It's the same at any tourist attraction.

Have you not walked up from Wembley park tube station? They have vendors and food sellers all the way up to the stadium.

This would work if they actually let you take a bottle in but when I went to see Green Day in June you had to empty all bottled drinks into plastic cups on entering the stadium - not something you have time to do when you've queued all day to get near the front!

From the official Wembley Stadium website:

Can I bring my own food and drink to Wembley Stadium?

Visitors are allowed to bring small quantities of food for personal use only. Food must be in disposable packaging, and in a small bag/rucksack.
Bottles and cans are not permitted into the stadium.
No alcohol is permitted into the stadium.

Furthermore, I have taken a picnic to eat whilst queing to get into the stadium, and taken the remaining food inside the stadium for my supper. Never had a problem taking my food into the stadium - in plastic bags, rather than plastic pots.
