There is a Tescos within walking distance...
Or there was the last time we were up there...
Which is...
But I have better news - there is a Lidl VERY nearby!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Isn't this just TYPICAL.
Here is the FA's Flagship and all you can buy is over-priced junk food.
There's a simple answer. The England Supporters Club should announce a boycott of the food until it improves and comes down to sensible prices and warn the FA if they don't comply then they'll boycott the matches, Home and Away.
I guess the FA forgot we don't all earn £100,000 a week like them.0 -
oh dear
i 'was' lookin forward to seeing metallica there in July....i dread to think how much the beer is0 -

Actually, I don't think the beer was TOO bad compared with the food. I think my Sis-in-law said it was around £3.50 for a pint of Lager. Considering you can pay £2.50- £3 down here anyway it isn't too much over the top and probably no more than you'd pay at any other similar venue.
There's a half decent Wetherspoons on Wembley high road which is no more than a ten minute walk so maybe fill up before you go in lol0 -
As a veggie, I'm disgusted by this - even if they did have an option, they'd probably cook it with the meat!!
As for drinks, I usually take a rucksack with me with at least two very large, thick jumpers with bottles of water rolled up in them, more difficult to detect unless they shake out the jumpers!!!
This tactic usually works well for cameras as well which I've had confiscated in the past as well - luckily wembley doesn't usually do that - so big you can't get a decent piccie anyway!0 -

When I saw the Scissor Sisters at Wembley Arena, a pint of Fosters was £3.50 from the people wandering around with canisters of it on their backs. Bottles of it (smaller!) were the same price from the various food/bar counters.0 -
Went to see Wales play France in Paris, no restrictions at all about taking food & drink into the ground.
Only thing was you couldn’t take sealed bottles or cans in, everything had to be opened, I suppose that’s because sealed containers make good missiles
and, French hot dogs just outside the stadium were 3.50 (euros) for one about a foot long0 -
Why oh why did this stadium have to be built at all ?
Twickenham isn't far away and seats about 80,000 and as essentially a rugby union ground (like the Millenium Stadium) is suitable for Football and Rugby Union/League.
Boycott please !Just for one moment, thought I'd found my way.0 -
The not allowing drinks in isnt new, they refused to let bottled and canned drinks in to the old place. On other ocasions the stewards/security removed the tops of bottles, I always kept the tops of the bottles from the drinks on the way down let them take a top and put another on. I went loads of times and each time the rules had changed slightly.
It isnt on them refuseing to let you take food and drink in the drink maybe due to hightened security after the stuff at the airports last year but the food is just a way to force you paying the over the top prices. I refuse, I only get a drink at the Reebok every match as I get it free.
I cant remember the rules on flag poles, I think they allowed them if under a certain length I took a flag every time I went. Air horns yeah most stadia don't allow those in. umbrellas I supose the stop those as I know I don't want to be sat behind someone with an umbrella up.
Ohh and whoever was complaining about the buggy's what do you sugest is done with them? take them in to the seats and should they need to evacuate everyone dies due to tripping over buggies that are in the way?
I see football stadia in a different way to everyone else, I work at the Reebok, not as a steward but I have an inside knowledge on how things affect other things and why certain rules are in place. Most people don't realise that the rules are put in by the people that issue the safety certificate for the stadium in the case of the Reebok it is Bolton Council I expect it is the counsil for most stadia.0
