There is a Tescos within walking distance...

Or there was the last time we were up there...

    Which is...

But Tescos never go out of business.

    Do they?

I think you're probably thinking about Asda lol I do most of my shopping at Tesco and although you can see the stadium from the carpark I wouldn't want to walk there for something to eat.
As me4bargains already said there are tons of places around the stadium to grab something to eat ;)

I was up there yesterday as well and wondered at the time if anyone would start a thread about the food prices. I did actually pay £8 for 2 hotdogs which I wasn't TOO worried about as it was a free day and we did get a free drink and I considered it worth it to be able to say I was there on the first day :T
The only problem is that not only is the price of the food extortionate but it was !!!!!! poor quality as well. :(

I think that we all expect to be ripped off to some extent at this kind of venue and inflated prices are part and parcel but this is a step too far.

I think this is a real shame because I reckon that after all this time and the problems we've seen with Wembley we have finally got a national stadium that we can be proud of only to be ruined by riciculous food prices and poor quality.

Hi, So if I have food and drink in my bag for my return journey will that be confiscated? Are there lockers to store food, drinks, umbrellas, etc. Seems unreasonable not to be allowed to carry anything when on a day trip.
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me

No lockers nothing. I was particulary concerned about parents with babies in pushcahirs. They were told to leave their buggies at an unmanned port.
Maybe it's me being cynical but I reckon at least one buggy may have been stolen.
As someone else mentioned the quality of the food was unbelievably appalling.
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

Ever since the plans for the new stadium went through (I live near it and I never wanted it to rebuilt, by the way), I always knew that any money generated from it wouldn't go anywhere near the local area, and probably not even Greater London. Now I have a tangible reason to stay away from the place. :( Steak houses are better value!

There are probably ways around this.

I went to Wembley Arena last night to see Dolly Parton (Wow !, but I digress !).
The "security" staff on our door were all male, they were diligently searching all the ladies bags and 'frisking' the men - get a female to put the sarnies in her pocket !

I went ti the community day event, and took with me in my bag 4 sandwiches 4 packets of crisps. There was men searching everyone before they opened the gates but they didn't say anything. They annocunced on the tannoy that only ladies handbags were allowed in. I had my 'man bag' but still got in.

Usually I have been to games in Spain, Italy and France and I don't get any of these problems but we weren't allowed any drinks in.

Well - yet another farce! I think it's a dreadful situation. OK to stop food being taken in but at least ensure what you are offering as an alternative is good, has healthy options and at the minimum a veggie option - that's just madness that they don't

Well if (which is highly unlikely) the mob here at EM Towers are gonna take a trip to the big smoke then us from up north will eat our Seabrooks and drink our Danelion and Burdock before we set foot in t'place

    EM xx
You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.
    Plato ;) Make £2018 in 2018 no. 37 - total = £1626.25/£2018 :j
