WDIAG - sounds like an episode from the 3 stooges (I'm not really that old!). The only thing I can say is, they don't know who they're messing with. Enjoy your new hairdo.

WDIAG i've been reading your entire diary since I joined 4hrs ago. Wow what a journey. Thank you so much for sharing. You have made me feel that what I'm going through isn't all that bad and most certainly nothing to be ashamed of.
I like you have taken responsibility for my debts and am starting to address the problems. It's been hard to get good advice in the past. I'll be reading the forum avidly and your post in particular.
Looking stunning will make you feel good. Hope the hair goes well. I've just taken my braids out and I feel like a new woman.:)

Thanks guys. I swear to God - I know I'm not the brightest person in the world, but I think I'd have to be a special kind of stupid to be as inefficient as these people. Do they have it in the job specification that "You must NOT be able to file properly" & "You must NOT be able to process IPAQs with due diligence, even though you know the BR is waiting for the info". I hate not knowing where I stand with something, & I can really do without worrying whether they're going to insist I still pay the IPA or not. All my figures were correct & honest on it, but I simply can't afford it now.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

How did the weave turn out? I have to say they usually look great on other people but I couldn't deal with not being able to wash my hair. My sister wears a weave pretty much permanently and never washes her hair. To those who think my sister has poor hygiene, I ought to add that people with afro hair can go as long a 2 weeks without washing - we don't suffer from greasy hair and excessive washing tends to strip it of moisture.
RE your IPA - I wish I could say I was surprised. Sadly, I'm not.BCSC Member 70:j

I'm just getting ready to go now.
You can still wash your hair, & a weave seems to help your hair grow, maybe because you're not constantly fiddling with it, applying chemicals to it etc.

I usually look like I'm wearing a bad wig - mind you it has been ages since I had a weave. What do you have done with yours then??Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

3 July - Well, my hair is done! :j It looks really nice, but it's years since I last had a weave & I'd forgotten how much your head hurts when you first get it done & now my head is absolutely thumping. I've just had to take some painkillers - no way would I be able to ride out this pain all evening. Still, it feels really great not to have a headscarf on my head.:)
It would be nice to say I didn't feel any less feminine when I lost so much of my hair, but I did. Though I loved my headscarves, I knew why I was wearing them & I couldn't escape the feeling that if one had come off I'd have been absolutely mortified. After just over a year of treatment, to finally have enough hair that's strong enough & long enough to have a weave has made me feel like a woman again. I feel like I should be running through a field shaking my head all over the place - I can't stop touching it.
