If anyone has`nt read this diary I really do recommend at least the first half a dozen pages. Just shows the emotional impact of bankruptcy...something that no-one can really articulate until they have experienced it first hand.

I read it again tonight....WDIAG is an inspiration & if you are looking in Honey I hope you don`t mind me quoting this post from way back in 2007.

Here you go - I did it quicker than I expected:

    Look At The Road Ahead

"Money is the root of all evil",
Spending it's the leaf on the tree.
Credit is the passport to goodies,
And bills are the chains holding me.

No-one tells you about interest rates
And what they mean day to day.
They just say "buy now, pay later",
And time statements to eat up your pay.

So you shop & you live, & you get through the month
And you don't see what's coming ahead.
'Til the day that you've got no more money
And you take a cash advance instead.

That starts the trend for the next few years,
Of robbing Peter to pay Paul & his mates.
You say "The cheque's in the post" so many times,
And you wish you could recall all the dates.

That you decided to get that credit card,
And thought the loan was such a good deal.
It was invisible debt when you could pay it,
Now everything looks far too real.

Now those so-called bargains keep haunting you,
And you can barely remember that trip.
Your statements remind you of decisions you made,
And the bills keep a relentless drip.

The creditors call and the creditors write,
And you want them to all go away.
You bury your head in the pit of sand,
Barely able to face a new day.

Until you discover MSE & the forum,
    The CAB, Payplan, CCCS.
You see a light at the end of the tunnel
And realise there's a way through the mess.

Bit by bit, day by day, you get there,
It's not easy, and the progress is slow.
But eventually you do reach your target,
And you realise the way you should go.

Ditch the credit and the so-called bargains,
Dump the shortcuts to the good and the grand.
A bundle of cards is all very well,
But cash feels so much better in your hand!
