Well, it's rude isn't it.
If a couple have paid good money for their guest's food, their guests should have the good grace to eat what's presented to them without whining that they don't like their spuds next to their carrots, or that their meat is tough.
I wouldn't dream of telling a couple that I didn't like their choice of food, I get what i'm given and keep a smile on my face so not to ruin their day or come across as ungrateful...and if there IS something that I really didn't like, it can wait till we're back home and I can have a moan to my husband about it

I agree - I have a nut allergy and also to be honest I'm an incredibly picky eater (I hate, loathe and detest veg unless it's peppers, dark green salad or onions, and won't eat anything in a creamy sauce) but I WILL make an effort at a wedding. I'll eat whatever meat is there (veal and foie greas being my exception, but if I know someone well enough to be at their wedding, they know I won't eat those) and take at least a bite out of everything I don't like.
It's their day, not mine - the least I can do is make an effort.

Funny thing is I'm really not a fussy eater, it was just rather hilarious to me that the OPs choice is a meal that I really would hate to be faced with (could probably manage the beef but not the rest)! and I'd feel terrible not being able to eat it - indeed I actually mentioned this thread to my mum today - as I thought it was interesting the variation of opinions, and when I told her the OPs menu it did make her laugh as she knows this is my least fave food, even though as she said "and I make really good Yorkshire pudding too" - I still can't stand them (as a kid I went through a phase of eating chocolate spread sandwiches when the rest of my family sat down for Sunday lunch as I disliked roasts so much)! :rotfl: Rather like a nice roast now, but rarely cook them myself still!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

We've decided on a 3 course carvery with soup, pate or garlic mushrooms to start, meat carvery and then 2 or 3 puds. My bridesmaid is a veggie so she is picking from a list of veggie options and anyone who doesn't like carvery can have that. Or they can go hungry
