I am another who has a banana whizzed up with fruit juice and sometimes I add yoghurt and/or any other soft fruit. I use a stick blender in a pyrex jug and the blender only needs a quick swish in the washing up water to clean; takes seconds. I may get some protein powder to try as that seems like a good idea.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

500gram box of shreddies is half price at tesco at the moment,
its £1.04 for 500grams on offer, the 1kg box is £3.45

Re eggs, they don't take long at all, so long as one is efficient about order of doing things. I find scarmbled the very quickest and fried (I put no oil in a non stick pan and use no butter, serve the egg yolk down side, one the white is properly cooked, then the yolk runs into the holes of the crumpet or across the top of a piece of toast.
.
There are quite a few sub 100 calorie crumpets. ( they range from 75/80 to well over a hundred) I read the packets. Off the top of my head I think sunblest are 80' warburtons are 90 and a tesco one is about 95. Cannot remember any other main brands, sorry!0 -
Sorry, again re milk, before diluting please check that you are getting enough calcium etc else where in the days before making that deciosion. Personally I prefer skimmed milk (whipch is crazy, especially as I pay for that but can get full fat free) but tbh, full fat milk is still a low fat product (under five percent fat is normal guideline) and for those
Of us with no intolerance I would think the milk aspect is a pretty healthful food

Fried eggs are very quick. As LiR said get the order right, do something else while its cooking
I turn the gas right down on the hob and set the timer for 7 minutes. At the same time I make the bed. A further minute for the toast to cook and the egg is done.

I do it differently, I stay in the kitchen vicinity so can leave heat higher, cook toast/crumpet during so ready, and make a tea or whatever. grab the nights food out of the freezer. Then grab a plate and knife and fork and ....it's usually done. If for some reason it is not that's when I do those little jobs in the kitchen....cooker front wiping, or something like that. Other days I just listen to the radio in a grey haze till the tea hits the blood.:o:D0 -

Looking for ideas for healthy breakfasts, that are quick to make and of course not expensive!
I love porridge, but only when its made with milk and with a spoonful of golden syrup on top which suddenly makes it not very healthy/high in calories!
I need to start eating good breakfasts ...
I was going to say porridge!I make mine with water and add a shake of cinnamon. Then I eat it with a splash of milk and a teaspoon of golden syrup.
I would say that even making it with milk and having the golden syrup don't make it unhealthy,as long as you're not using ladles of the stuff.Maybe you could try to reduce the amount of golden syrup you add?
Toast with banana and Marmite and a yogurt?0
