When i was at work i usually started at 7am and didnt have breakfast as was up around 5am and rushing to get to work. I'm currently on adoption leave at the moment, and doing weight watchers. As i have plenty of time, i always have breakfast now. I usually have either an egg fried in 1kcal spray on a slice of wholemeal toast with lots of black pepper, or mushrooms, onion and cherry tomatoes fried in 1kcal spray(with lots of pepper!!) in a toasted wholemeal pitta..yum!!0

I find it a bit chewy and metallicWhat I wanted to ask is whether not eating breakfast is bad because when you get hungry you might just grab crisps, chocolate or whatever's easiest or is it to do with metabolism or something? Anyone know?
I can barely face breakfast, but force myself to have something as some of my tablets are supposed to be taken with food.
Start the day 05:30 with a LARGE mug of black coffee (brought to bedroom by Mr LW - he has tea).
Once we've bathed and dressed, he has a Benecol drink and a slice of toast and HM jam.
I have half a wine-glass of grapefruit juice and 2 dessertspoons of natural (unflavoured) Bio yogurt. Any more than that, and I can't eat lunch when it's time.
I do know that he has a banana or sometimes an apple mid-morning; I don't have a mid-morning snack at all.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Can't really stomach much first thing - normally just have a cuppa tea before I leave home, but I'll take fruit into work and have that for my breakfast most days. Sometimes have a slice of bread or something before I leave if I'm peckish, but normally fruit in the office does me fine!Oh come on, don't be silly.
It's the internet - it's not real!0 -
Not sure if I'm posting in the correct area. If not, please move....
My husband normally has cereal for breakfast. However, it is the one meal of the day he does not enjoy. We were wondering what other people ate for breakfast that does not take too long to prepare and is also healthy for you.
Any ideas would be welcomed as he is very fed up....0 -
If we don't have cereal, we have toast. However, there are thousands of bready things you could eat. Why not go Continental and have coffee and croissants (not too healthy I agree)? Or crumpets with microwaved beans? Has he got time to poach an egg - make a coffee and put the rest of the hot water in a pan. Put it on to simmer and break an egg into it. Ready in 3-5 mins. Or, he could have fruit and yoghurt. Or, he could make a batch of pancakes one evening and eat them one by one over the next couple of days with lemon and honey.0

My hubby really went off cereal recently so I've been trying other things. This week we're having panini rolls filled with egg Mayo, roasted mushrooms and ketchup and toasted on the *former boxer* grill, they're really good. We also have things on toast (beans, eggs, mushrooms, etc) and maybe a bacon or sausage butty if feeling extravagent. I do try to get stuff ready the night before to save time so tomorrow's panini is wrapped in clingfilm in the fridge and extra eggs are hardboiled ready to go.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

What does he like? Actually, on the continent, they often have a selection of nice bread and cold meats/cheeses/eggs/pickles - easy to prepare, as its mostly just a case of opening the fridge and seting it on the table!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0
