Not at all! The seller was a kn*b at worst but the buyer ended up a thief!! You couldn't make it up!!! Negative feedback and low DSRs would have been punishment enough!

Oh come on, don't you find it just a little bit amusing? And satisfying?

No I don't! Don't get me wrong - the seller was an idiot and deserved negative feedback but the buyers actions are much worse! So you're OK with the buyer committing a crime in revenge?

Yeah, whatever - you're a thief, a liar and a fraud, plain and simple. Post your ebay ID so I can block you!

Just pointing out the facts as you seem to have a problem with moral boundaries.

Because I paid via paypal before I collected he gave me £12.50 in cash whilst I was there arguing with him (I never got the item). I then went home and opened a dispute and got my paypal money back so it cost him £25 in the end.

    Wrong I know but...

How far did you travel out of interest?

I'm stunned he actually gave you the cash, I would have the possible outcome would have crossed his mind.

To be honest (!) yes I am in these circumstances. I know, I know, you'll tell me it's the slippery slope and ask where I would draw the line, but I can't help it, his revenge makes me chuckle!

You covered what my response would have been! I suppose I was brought up differently - 2 wrongs don't make a right, punishment fits the crime, etc, etc. Hope I can bring my kids up the same.

Yes I know, I was brought up the same, I don't even break speed limits or cycle on the pavement, even though everyone else seems to these days, but, well, I just like the idea of this cowboy getting his comeuppance!

I agree, however negative feedback and low star ratings would have been appropriate.

Tell you what - Comet were a day late in delivering my new washing machine and cost me inconvenience - I'll just pop down their store and nick something in return! Sound ok to you?

Yep, sounds good to me. Try for a laptop or something. Something you can sell for £££'s on Ebay.
