I've been ebaying for a few years now and I seem to be a magnet for absolute idiot buyers.
I once sold the computer game 'Left 4 Dead' on the xbox 360. It had all it's instruction manuals and was in perfect condition. I emailed him after he won it and sent it the very next day after receiving payment.A few days later after he received it, he left me negative feedback for the purchase. And what was his reason for this I hear you ask? Despite speedy delivery and good comms he was not a happy bunny. He wrote in his feedback, ' I played the game but really didn't enjoy it that much.'..................I sold you the game, I DIDN'T MAKE THE GAME YOU IDIOT!!!
No one seems to bother reading the description either. I once tried to send a nike shox trainer(only the left shoe) and wrote several times in large black bold font that it wasn't a pair. Sure enough one idiot won it and went ballistic at me when she received it.

Am I missing something here - but why would anyone want to buy one left shoe or even advertise to sell one? (unless the recipient only has one leg of course).
Just out of curiosity, what happened to the right footed shoe or is it still in a box in the storage area of Sports Direct because the left shoe of the pair which was on display 'went missing'?0 -
I sold an item on Christmas eve (2nd class postage) Boxing Day morning I got asked why their item had not been delivered yet?!?! Not even has it been posted actually thought it should have arrived!! Makes you wonder just how thick people are.0

We had one lovely buyer who purchased and paid for an item at 10pm on the Friday night, less than ten hours later, the following morning we had a stroppy email asking where their item was . . . :rotfl:
And another marvellous buyer left negative feedback because an item described as "brand new in PACKET" didn't have a box.0 -
I have been really lucky and never had a problem with buyers. Sellers are a different story - lost count of the amount of "new" items I've bought that are clearly anything but. I've got to the stage where I can't be bothered to argue with them about it and just going to neg them.0

I stopped using it because I got fed up of the number of people who wouldn't pay for first class/recorded delivery and then got stroppy about any problems. I know they've changed the rules now so that postage is included in the price but I just decided that it was all too much hassle.Wedding 5th September 20150

A buyer left me negative feedback a couple of years ago because the blouse she bought from me didn't match the skirt she wanted to wear it with :huh:0

It sounds like you may be one of those eBay sellers who understands neither the law nor the postal system.
My pet hates on eBay are sellers who:
- make "insurance" or "recorded delivery" an optional extra, and claim that if the option is declined, items lost in the post are no longer their responsibility
- say "insurance" when they really mean "recorded delivery".
The facts are these:
Items mailed to the buyer remain the seller's property until accepted by the buyer, so if anything is lost in the post then it's the seller's loss and the seller's problem. That's the law, and sellers cannot offload their responsibility onto the buyer by offering "optional" enhanced delivery services.
Recorded delivery is not insurance. All mail is automatically insured up to £46 anyway, and recorded delivery is absolutely no different in this regard. Recorded delivery is for items such as legal papers for which it may be necessary to prove receipt, it provides no extra guarantee over and above 1st class that an item will not get lost, and no extra compensation.Je suis Charlie.0 -
