Why do other females insist on putting 'x' on the end of texts to guys who aren't their OH?!
HeadAboveWater wrote: »I think everybody has their own ideas/rules of what is and isn't acceptable in a relationship. I just know for me, personally, an 'x' from a girl is not acceptable. I trust OH 100%, but it's partly (possibly mostly?!) to do with my own insecurities/lack of confidence, coupled together with the mistrust of other females.
Our general rule of thumb is 'if you can't do/say/write it in front of me, then you shouldn't be doing/saying/writing it'HeadAboveWater wrote: »Yes it is possible to have a platonic relationship. I've had loads. However, OH 'knows what guys are like' and 'they're obviously only after one thing', so therefore it's not possible for ME to have a platonic relationship. But he knows that he himself wouldn't cheat, so he can have a platonic relationship!!
I've ended friendships with mates to stop any question mark hanging over my head. Yes it was my choice to delete numbers, but out of respect for OH and our relationship. Maybe I'm a bit miffed that I don't seem to be getting the same respect or reassurance back from OH....HeadAboveWater wrote: »I have my reasons for feeling the way I do sometimes
 Not having a degree in psychology can only offer common sense, which suggests that here is another important topic for a late night, honest heart-to-heart conversation.
Just make sure you've thought through your own position first, and pick the right moment of course.
Good plan to get a cash-back CC for certain purchases - you have the strength of will to pay it off every time it's used.
Prefer a gas cooker m'self as the heat is more controllable. Used to be cheaper too, but maybe not any more?
ps. Don't think you've anything to fear from the chaps bearing a white jacket with suspiciously long sleeves.. :rotfl:0 -

You're spot on Robin. I know one of our 'problems' is that we end up having one of those conversations in the heat of things, and they do neither of us (nor the relationship) any good!Good plan to get a cash-back CC for certain purchases - you have the strength of will to pay it off every time it's used.

Have made a deal with myself I'll make a full payment every Friday. I don't need it to build my credit rating. It's just the Section 75 bit!And the cash back too obviously

Gutted about TCB HAW - I am in the habit of wandering in there to see if they want to buy old rags at the moment. They are giving away money for the strangest things! I signed up for 2 magazine subscriptions. Paid £1 each for three monthly mags. Then got £12.12 cashback!
Sending you much hugs and kisses, ditto to what Lucky said, PM awayxx
