At least me and OH are only talking about renting/buying as opposed to having already signed somethingWe could probably manage if I had to cut down my hours. If I lost my job I don't know. Possibly. Would like to think I'd get something else but you just don't know.
OH has also had the 'talk' at his work too so there's a question mark over his head too!
Both of us work in different sectors, but both companies are government funded...!
Got my crimbo pressies wrapped last nightTree looks much better with something underneath it now!! lol
Easier now to see what's left to get anyone, if anything.

Sorry to hear about the work news HAW! Hopefully nothing will come of it for you! My dad's company recently cut a third of jobs
BUT he was lucky, had a small cut in hours (from 42 to 37.5) but got better shifts. So I hope it goes as well for you and OH as it did for him!
Congrats on getting your wrapping done btw! I have stacks left to do!!Kitchen Debt - 2820/260Save £12k in 2013 #060: 1293.24/3000MFW: 88760.00/85000.00 (4.24% paid)0 -
I've still got most presents to wrap. My hairdresser got me a present, how sweet was that? A box of chocolates, but thought it was a lovely sentiment. No wrapping tonight, just prepping for interview tomorrow!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

That's the thing: it may work out or it may not. Just have to wait and see. Not nice hearing that a week before christmas, but I'd rather hear it now and be more prepared for when it maybe does happen.
Thankfully I haven't overspent on presents and be left with the debate now as to whether or not I can actually afford to give the presents to the intended or have take them back for a refund!Congrats on getting your wrapping done btw! I have stacks left to do!!
Feels good to get it out of the way I have to say! I know the girls will be noseying at what's under the tree to see what belongs to who, but I've no labels on anythingunixgirluk wrote: »I've still got most presents to wrap. Aw that was really sweet of her!One rule I learned when I was self employed was that you have to look after your customers. That way you'll be guaranteed they'll come back and give you more business. It is the little things that count though
Eeeee I've everything crossed for you unixgirlWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

Well, you could be the loving, caring partner and make him up a nice comfy cosy bed on the sofa, complete with hot water bottleWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0

Lol, I could but I'd feel guilty. I missed him when he did night shift but he can be his own worst enemy if he eats late he snores badly but won't listen!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Men
:rotfl:
I had to sleep on the sofa for about a week when I had a really bad cough. Kept us both awake at night. Course I was the one had to move downstairs. All I wanted was a cuddle and some TLC. Instead of that I get booted out of the bed. CharmingWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
If you ever get a really bad cough again get Active Mnauka Honey (Aldi's do one for about £4) it shifts a cough in no time.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Duly noted thank you
I went through a jar of honey (just the bog standard stuff right enough), cough mixture, antibiotics, plus was given an inhaler, blood samples were taken and also had a chest xray
Considering all of that, it'd have been nice if the OH had shown a little more compassion!!!!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0
