Barclaycard 0% new customer offer

My credit limit is £260 ??? My income over £40k. They wouldnt budge on this.

I'm a newbie so sorry if this has been asked before. Can't seem to find an answer! Anyone self employed applied for this, and what sort of proof of income do they ask for. Bit Naive and only have one credit card which I've had forever (going to be ringing them about interest rate after reading here!!)

I phoned the 0870 number for a BT and after about 3 minutes talked to a person. >:(I complained - 'sorry sir - I'll credit your account with £5'

I applied for the student credit card, does this still offer the 0% til aug or is it only 3 months interest free?

Been accepted for the new Barclaycard, surprised to discover the credit limit is set at a low £900, I wonder if low limits are the general rule or is it just so with me?

Beware

Have today had Barclay card form for signature. Credit Limit £1.900.00 have run to ask why small and they have informed me that the credit check only allows this. After further pressure they said I had other credit cards with high limits and decided that it was all they could offer. I have two other credit cards with small amounts on not anywhere near the limnit but they take it as owing?? these get paid off off every month, and then swopped as you suggest to other cards? Suggested that this was a con as they have had too many applications?

Up until 2002 had credit limit of £5,700 on mastercard paid off every month???? This is not taken into account.

I have received my Barclaycard application to sign. I have no credit card debt but thought I would enter my Switch card number for transferring a balance. What do you think?

Card arrived last night! Credit limit set at 2,250 and not the 5,000 I was expecting. Dissappointed, but it all helps.

I know what you mean.

Luckily I used 0800 9177 277 off the Say No to 0870 site because I spent 14 minutes listening to some dire music!

Applied just after it was announced on this site and I still have yet to receive anything from them - processing must be terribly slow!!!
