I was on an hour ago BigAl94. Suppose they have been inundated since the news broke.
Customers will receive £20 if they visited the bank from 19 June - 18 July and made a transaction.

£20 'Incident' payment made into my bank today...
So if you live in the country & have to travel to your nearest branch that is open, say a thirty mile trip each way,& have to do this three times, then this twenty quid will barely cover your petrol!
this is gonna cost them millions!0 -
Latest is : - Ulster Bank has revealed it will only pay out a maximum of £100 to those affected by a computer error.
Just a pity they can't make that the "norm."0 -
UPDATE:
I checked my online account in the early hours of the morning (as per my previous post) and have actually NOT had £20 compensation!
The £20 was something completely different....
However , the other 2 accounts I referred to , my Husbands and my Daughters have both been credited with a £20 "incident credit".
Meaning that they both got the "compensation" and I didnt!
lol I will defo be closing my account now!
I DID go into branch to make a transaction so think I should have got it.The loopy one has gone :j0 -
u.tv are running a poll at the minute. 96% of customers think that £20 is not sufficient compensation, what a shock! :shocked:0

Something similar happened me, My wife got £40, she visited the bank twice, I got !!!!!! all, I went in once, in saying that my account hasn't seen much action lately as I moved all to Santander.0 -
Still haven't sorted out my missing mortgage payment.
The money is still clearly debited from my UB account but hasn't reached my Santander mortgage account.
I asked UB to put a trace on it over a week ago but still haven't even had an acknowledgement from them despite a reassurance from the manager that someone would contact me on Saturday:mad:
Getting nasty letters from Santander even though I contacted them to explain the situation.
They are a total joke,if I ran my own business the same way I don't think I would be open much longer0 -
Looks like i won't get the £20 as i didn't visit the bank. I couldn't get near it for the amount of people outside and inside.
Meant i couldn't use my debit card to buy anything etc. Something wrong there.0 -
I don't understand how they think that just because someone didn't actually visit a branch that they didn't have problems with their account!!!
I don't know anyone who hasn't at least 1 standing order or direct debit on their account for something. And for their systems to be... well... 'faulty'... for so long, how can anyone not be affected?!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0
