To be honest - you jumped ship at the wrong time which has added to the confusion. Until it sorts itself out you would be wise to keep funds in both accounts.0

TBH,Al,I don't have the money to do that at the moment, anyway, checked my statement today & I've been charged £10 unpaid item fee without any notification & the is nothing showing online to say what it is...
So I've just tried to order a paper statement to be told it's unavailable.0 -

By law it is stated that people going through a switching process should not get charged within 90 days of switching (mainland UK) and 120 days if in NI...0 -
Ulster bank have finally taken their mortgage payment out - 24 days late. Makes you wonder if you had not phoned to tell them, would they have noticed.0

Another week gone by and silence is deafening on the customer compensation front. Are they waiting for large numbers to leave before they compensate those that stay loyal?
Well another few weeks gone by - Jamie Delargy on UTV Live says he is "led to believe" there will be a statement on compensation next week! I wonder if it will contain anything useful?
Have many people actually made formal complaints or gone ahead jumped ship - and if so where to?0 -
Haven't made any formal complaints yet, waiting to see what compo is offered and then will add on my bit for inconvenience, phone calls, extra visits,etc...
Asked in branch the other day when any fees charged from other institutions would be getting refunded and the cashier hadn't got a clue, she said they are all being processed centrally and that there are 1000's of them so could be months!!!
Also, just had a call from Santander saying my mortgage hadn't be received last month, even though it has been taken from my UB account:mad:0 -

Discovered tonight 3 seperate charges to the UB for unpaid items total £45j, ust in time for the the long weekend have been told that these will be refunded in the next few days, not holding my breath. I discovered this as I was about to pay a bill, which would have left me overdrawn as a result of these charges. The anytime banking asked me if i was aware of these or had i been told about them!0

I have just received a letter from my car insurers saying they've received a indemnity claim in relation to a insurance payment made on 2nd July, checked the Ulster & this was debited/credited on 17th August...This is the missing payment made AFTER I cancelled the direct debits with Ulster & moved to Barclays...Good job I kept money in Barclays to cover this just in case..0
