I'm with Natwest and had no problem with tax credit payments going in, transfers between accounts or balance updates yesterday but couldn't access any of my previous statements for a while. Will see what happens tomorrow as wages are due.
ETA........I have also managed to transfer some money to my son and taken cash out of cash machine this morning from the payments received yesterday and account has updated fine.0 -
Still no joy! Lets hope Natwest will compensate us.0

Thankfully the direct debits I have that go out today haven't been taken either. My wife works for DWP and mentioned that they were advised yesterday of problems confined to Natwest's systems and which were impacting JSA payments etc.. So - looks for sure to be a Natwest problem and not just impacting benefit payments.. Oh, it's now 08.02 and still no dosh so their assurances all should be well by 08.00 are not holding up !
It is good practice not to have DDs going out on the same day as wages are due in. Any problems and you are looking at some nasty charges...0 -

Not on this ocassion though as the bank has stated that no-ne will be put at a disadvantage because of this current banking fault.
i have just read online that Natwest , RBS and Ulster bank are all affected by the problem.
Im with Ulster Bank and my tax credits havent went in today.
Friends who are also with this bank have told me that the payments they were due yesterday have hit their accounts today so hopefully mine will go in tomorrow.
I really feel for people who are left without money whilst this is going on.The loopy one has gone :j0 -
just an update, still no money! been on phone again to Natwest! they are inundated with calls at the moment and the waiting time for the complainsts department is a whoping 43min...
i have asked will the funds be back in today and was advised we are working on the problem but they have no set time scale!
i also asked about compo and was told no compo will be paid out!
as i was leaving the call the lady said thanks for banking with Natwest!!! a chance would be a fine thing...lol

Thanks for the update.. I'm also waiting for my wages and ctc to go in too.I ordered an online shop to be delivered around 11am this morning, and of course they phoned saying my card had been declined, when i explained what had happened with natwest, they were fab and said i can pay them over the phone tomorrow and they still delivered all my shopping, plus it was my 1st time shopping with them.I'm thinking it won't go in in untill tomorrow now

*NEW**
We continue to experience technical issues which means that account balances have not been updated and yesterday's balance is still being displayed. We recognise this has caused significant inconvenience for our customers and has impacted many of our services.
We are doing everything we can to resolve this issue and will keep you informed of our progress.
We will be keeping over 1,000 NatWest branches in all major towns and cities open until 7pm tonight to assist customers who are unable to get to their branch during working hours and staff at our call centres are also ready to answer questions and help where they can.0 -
