JSA not been paid

Hi,

I've been claiming Job Seekers Allowance for a while now. I signed on with my personal adviser on Monday, and should have had the payment this morning (Thursday). But it hasn't came through, there was no warning. I've got bill that will be coming out in the next 3 - 5 days, and only £3.60 in my account.

Does anyone know why I haven't received the money? And what can I do about it?

If I go into the jobcentre will they just send me away and say ring the helpline?

Going in to the centre won't help, they're useless. First i would ring the centre and if they can't do anything they will tell you who to ring/put you through

You can ring the helpline for free from their offices. You can also ask to escalate the call

It's early yet - isn't there a chance that the payment will go onto your account a bit later in the day? I'm sure there was a similar thread a few weeks ago (not sure what benefit), and the money was paid into the account before close of business.

Hi can I ask what bank you are with as I'm due my child tax credits and its not been paid yet? (Got new award last week to say its due in on 21/06/2012) I'm with Natwest.

Hi guys i was gonna start a serperate post but seen this, natwest are experiencing problems with any debits or credits and did yesterday too. my tax credits didnt go in they told me to check at about 8am thats when tehy resolved the problem yesterday.

they couldnt check to see if i had been paid but said they have been having lots of calls with same problem

So it should be in there by 8am? Someone else has posted they've not been paid either today. Hoping its sorted by then!

thats what they told me just 5 mins ago.. someone else was due yesterday you mean and stil not in today? omg i hope it does go in. there was a post on here yesterday and most that replied had theirs go in.

I'm hoping its in there today then lol Nah my CTC was due in this morning, hoping it doesn't take until tomorrow to sort out!

i asked him is it 100% gonna go in he said yes if its due in today but he did say he cant check if pending to go in!

mine always goes in today so hopefully they will all go in soon!
