Anyway am considering having a go at running. With and without the dog ;) so what's the best technique......I read somewhere running with heel strike first was not good for your joints and running on the balls of your feet was better. I am off to google to investigate.....

Technique for me is going forward faster than standing still! I've never thought about it - I struggled to get going in the first place, if I'd thought about how I was doing it I'd have probably never got anywhere!
Forced myself to go for a trot this evening - only about 4k but after a day in work on my feet I thought that would be enough, and I was right! Was glad to get home but didn't stop or walk so not too bad I suppose.
I've just had a bath and got my clothes ready for tomorrow - another new combo of a bright red jacket/blazer, a black V necked top in a silky type material and black trousers and heels.
Can't stop weeing today either so perhaps its a bit of hormonal water retention on its way? Lets hope so!

Sparkles - hope you feel better tomorrow, xx

So sorry to hear you're feeling down sparkles but you seem to have good plan for lifting yourself. :T Hope you feel a bit brighter tomorrow. I'm loving the sunshine.:D
  • I've starved her for 24 hours so will see how she does. She keeps getting it regularly not sure if it's where she walks (she's a b*gger for mooching and eating, typical lab ), something she's sneakily chuffing in our garden or her food.

Bitsy Hope doggy's feeling better. Must be something in the air my lab mix threw up yesterday too. She too is a canine dustbin constantly looking for food and often has an upset tummy, but mostly she's fine after she's been sick. She tends to bounce back straight away and was looking for food 2 mins after :rotfl::rotfl:.

Lizzie - I know it sounds daft but are you eating enough on your non IF days? The starvation mode thing is true for me, if I don't have enough cals I don't lose weight. May not be true for everyone but I know it hinders me.

I think this might be the problem. I've looked at my calorie counts for the last week and apart from a couple of days I usually come in under amount with a warning I'm not eating enough. The first couple of weeks I had what I'd normally have on the non IF days and didn't watch the calories too much but apart from the odd days I've been restricting on these days too. Will try and eat a bit more on these days and see what happens.

Am off to jobcentre again :( not looking forward to it at all. Have only been twice but already I'm sick of listening to bullsh*t. Hopefully after another couple of visits I should be left alone again for awhile. There's nothing they tell me to do that I'm not already doing so just seems pointless.
Am also going to see if I can sign up fot the yoga later.
Also still loads to do in the house but will make time for a teabreak in the sun.
    Enjoy your day.:)

    Hello all

Not really much to report here - been a bit down myself this week but have been getting a couple of nice comments about my new hair do which is good.

I've stuck a post it note on the calendar to try and keep me on track with my 3 goals and I did a 6 mile run on Monday which i was pleased with as I haven't been running for ages (have been going to the gym though so it's obviously doing some good) and I think i might go running again this evening, it's been good to do different exercise so it seems a change has been as good as a rest.

Other than that I've been wearing all sorts of different jewellery and trying to stay unstressed, calm and happy

    Fab Friday tomorrow....

    Morning all,

Sorry some people seem a bit down this week. *hugs*
I was feeling it a bit but got some news this morning that's cheered me up. Got an email offering me a contract for my Christmas story I sent off :jWas starting to fear the worst as it had been quite a few weeks but just so thrilled now. Am alternating between wanting to jump round the office and burst into tears - lucky I have my own room or would be getting some very odd looks I think! Have just been feeling like I'm not getting anywhere lately so has just made my week really :D

Hope everyone else has an equally good day x

  • PP That's wonderful:j:j:j

Having a sh*te week - sorry for the colourful language. I'm just so fed up. Running around like a headless chicken - still on the fruitless goose chase for my husband's meds.

Up half the night again - so shattered this morning. Off to see OH in a minute - he's not too good either. Mum really poorly - it just goes on and on and on....

Did manage book club on Monday and am still trying to get the outside painting done and trying to sort out the garden.

    I need another 12 hours a day.

Lizzie - good luck today. My Devon friend rang yesteday - penniless widdow, trying to sort everything out, health wrecked, yes you've guess it - she's just been sh*afted by ATOS. She is at her wit's end.

Oh dear - what a post today. On a more positive note - just going to give the white jeans an airing - it's a lovely day again.:D
