    Hi

Well it's Fab Friday and i'm off to a good start - did my new hair do well and am sporting some lovely earrings from my collection and a new perfume I found I had, I'm wearing my new slim jeans which shows I've lost a bit of weight and I'm feeling FAB.

It's funny how these little changes make a difference to behaviour, both mine and those around me too, but I like it!!

I tidied up my eyebrows this morning and will be doing my nails this evening as i have a big night out tomorrow so want to look fabulous.

Have a lovely day everyone and thanks for the motivation :)

    Hoping to conceive 2013 :D
  • WW - love the ex story - you are in such a good place right now. Is this weekend the big run or have I missed it?

Welcome Babymad and good luck for your upcoming wedding.
It sounds like you are embracing Fab Friday.

I'm looking ok today - a nice summery top and heels but could still do better. Babymad, your enthusiasm has motivated me so I will make an effort this weekend, even though I don't have big plans! I think I have a wisdom tooth finally making an appearance so I'm not feeling too fab and am sure I look tired after waking up at 3am in pain!

    Morning all,

WW - love the ex story - it is funny but I hope you also think about how far you've come, a true fab success story :D

    EH - have a lovely weekend x

Babymade - welcome, and congrats on the upcoming wedding, great incentive and sounds like you're up and running already :)

Went to the piccies last night to watch The Crow on the big screen, not seen it for years and really enjoyed it. We're going out for a meal with OH's parents tonight who are up for the week - am assuming will be aunts and uncles as well. I don't mind most of them but one of his uncles drives us mad - one of those who constantly has to put you down, but in snide little ways so you can't really call him on it  Hope we're not sat next to him! Am hoping to go visit my parents next weekend, it's my mum's birthday and with her not being so well lately I would like to go down and see her. Will have to check the bank funds tonight though, trains are getting ridiculously expensive! There is always the Megabus but I really hate long bus journeys and it takes about twice as long :( Anyways, will try and sort something.
    Hope everyone's having a good day x

Glad to have motivated you heebie-jeebies!

I'm still going...:rotfl: Picked up some new glasses today which are different to my usual frames but so far so good and bought a couple of tops, one is not my usual style at all but what the heck, i'm trying something new!?

I'm thinking of getting some more make up but I had better have a look at what I have already :money:

You ladies have inspired me to get some different coloured lipsticks - I have been wearing the same shade for at least 5 years....but I do love it!

Go Babymad! Very enthusiastic! Well done!

Can't stop, have a houseful of visitors, but managed a quick run this morning and have been sticking to the diet and done a bit more clothes shopping - will fill you in on the details tomorrow.

    Good morning lovely ladies :D

Busy day yesterday but much needed catch up with some dear friends. Haven't seen them at all over the summer hols so now I feel more like a living breathing member of the human race rather than billy no mates :rotfl:
Off out tonight with another lovely friend who's rubbish husband decided after 14 years to leave her and their small son  gonna have some drinks and a good catch up and hopefully help her see the light at the end of the tunnel :D

But before all that I am helping to decorate my SIL birthday cake today and fit in some fabbing, paint nails, file nails, moisturise.

Baby mad welcome to the thread, sounds like you've been by getting stuck in already :)

Podperson if the horrible uncle says anything hurtful just say in response to him "why do you say that" whilst looking all innocent and genuinely enquiring ;) nothing like calling him out on his nasty comments.

Heebiejebbies hope your poor tooth isn't too painful. I haven't got any wisdom teeth do never had to deal with thm coming through :o

Hugs and high fives all round xxx

  • Well me and the kids had a fab Friday - we managed to get to London after all! DS3's pass arrived Wed morning so a quick bit of planning and off we went. Now as some of you know I was really scared about going, I had an impression of a scary place I didn't think I'd enjoy and was worried about feeling very unconfident getting around there. It was a big deal for me to go as the only adult but I really enjoyed it and so did the teens. We didn't manage to see everything but we got in quite a lot, the changing of the guards at Buck Palace, Big ben, London eye,( though we didn't go on it -I hate heights and there was a huge queue), oxford st and the Natural History museum which the teens really enjoyed. So I've given myself a boost in being worried but doing it anyway and we will go again sometime and see some more of the city.
Quite tired though today as we did walk a lot so will be having a quiet day with a dog walk and a long soak.
Have a good day everyone :)

Good for you lizzie:T I'm so pleased you all enjoyed your trip to London. Now you've done it once you can do it again. I just love the Natural History, not just the exhibits but the building is so beautiful. What about half term, that's only about 8 weeks away?

Haven't done very much extra in the fabbing line but keeping up with the usual routines. I did manage a bargain buy at CS yesterday: Kew brand black & cream patterned, jersey wrapover dress for a princely £1!!!

Question: where do you keep your perfume? With some of the bottles so pretty it seems a shame to pack them in a drawer.

I am now a visitor free zone! Hurrah!
I love my mum and sister but their idea of a good time is shopping and eating:eek: We're just back from lunch out (again!) but I have managed to stay within cals (just) for their whole stay, a minor miracle.
I've done a bit more clothes shopping, took the 2 tops I didn't like back and bought 2 more instead and got a coral coloured blazer/jacket for work - very colourful for me!
I think I have plenty of new work wear now - must stop spending anyway before I get a call from the bank!

Its the 5K run tomorrow morning so am going to have a fairly quiet afternoon, will take the dog for a walk later and do a bit of housework but otherwise a relax is on the cards after the onslaught of visitors.

Lizzie - well done on the London trip, I bet the thought of it was much worse than the reality.
Bitsy - hope you have a good evening with your friend.
Maman - Bargain!!! I never get bargains, am very jealous!

Gutted night out cancelled as friend has been called into work today and tomorrow :(

Lizzie well done that's a great achievement xxxx

Maman <stamps foot> why can't I have CS that cheap by me?!!! Nothing in there is ever brand new clothing nor for the princely sum of £1!!!
