WW ah the joys of fox poo. You can use ketchup on it. Neutralises the smell. Don't ask me how lol
The problem is he's a white dog so would look like he'd been shot!:rotfl:

I tried myfitnesspal but it kept coming up with the wrong amounts for things (well a different amount from what was on the side of the packet anyway!). Unless there's an option just to put things in manually? - haven't had a good look yet.

Yes you can add your own cals instead of using their database - on the food tab next to where you add your lunch/breakfast etc there's a pull down menu called quick tools (or something similar) and you just type it in there. You can alos add things to the database and make up your own meals - for example if you cook a spag bol you can create a meal using all of the ingredients and save it so you don't need to do it again. Then if you only have half of what you make you log it as 0.5 portions of the meal. Give me a shout if you get stuck - it takes a bit of playing with to start with but then it takes seconds to update when you've had a bit of practice.

Just back from the run and I did 4k without stopping - it was very hot though and I found it harder to do than when it was raining on Tuesday. But I made it! Next time I'm doing 4.5K by adding an extra street.
I did look like a sweaty mess though and a couple of old grannies I ran past said " good for you love, keep going!" and clapped, think they've taken the Olympics to heart!

Weigh in day tomorrow -wish it was now, I've lost about 3 stone in sweat!

Skymist - just a quickie. Thank you so much for taking the trouble to investigate that further. Very much appreciated.

Got to dash - plumber here - I'm supposed to be researching something for him - not mooching on here:o.

    Will read everyone's news later.

Thanks WW, had a bit more of a mess and am sort of getting it :) Though it's the little things I struggle to add on - eg how many grams of butter on a sandwich or a jacket pot! It says that aiming for 1200 a day I still have 720 left for tea, which isn't too bad actually so maybe it's not as undoable as I thought. Plus if it stays fine think will walk home which should burn me a few off.

Don't forget Pod that if you do some exercise and earn say 200 cals you get to eat them too! Its your net calories that should be 1200, so if you eat 1200 and do 200 cals worth of exercise you get to eat 1400 worth of cals overall. Sounds odd I know but it does work. I usually eat at least some of my exercise cals, not all but half or so. Good luck.

I know i need to apply for jobs but just can't see able, never really applied for a job in my life and i don't know whats stopping me but im scared not sure of what maybe rejection or that i can't do the job.

EH stepping out of your comfort zone (even if it is uncomfy) is never easy but take that first step and you'll never look back. Life on this earth is far too short......do you want to sit back on your laurels and hate where you work or do you want to grab life by the throat and find out what's waiting for you?

Ok much of that sounds like a trite cliche but it's true. Successful people don't get anywhere by being inactive, they take risks, make opportunities happen and generally stick their necks out. If you don't ask in life then you don't get. Are you prepared to ask?

EH - I know it can be scary hun, I used to be so similar, just constantly putting things off and doubting myself. Now I just think 'stuff it' - yes I might fail sometimes but I know I'll look back and regret if I don't try. My quote of the week :)
No matter how many mistakes you make, or how slow your progress is, you are still ahead of everyone who isn't trying.

You know you're smart and you have skills - if you're unhappy where you are and are getting no appreciation for the work you put in then you deserve better - and no one can change that but you! What's the harm in applying for new jobs? You might not get the first few but are you going to be any worse off for trying?
We believe in you - you just need to start believing in yourself :)

EH - just go for it sweetie, like the others have said - what have you got to lose.

OK some of the CV's might go unnoticed, you may fail at some interviews. Regard it all as practice and just keep going.

I so agree with the others - just be pro-active, put yourself out there (no not like that:rotfl:) and you will be successful.

It may take a while but as I always used to say to my boys

"Good things don't just drop out of the sky and fall in your lap, you have to go out and grab 'em ".

The other thing to be bear in mind is - we spend at least 7 or 8 hours a day at work, 5 days a week. That is a long time to be miserable, a long time to spend doing something you hate.

Not only does it make you unhappy but I strongly believe that doing a job you hate is like living a lie, ultimately it makes you unhealthy as well as miserable.

Don't be scared - you'll be fine. Honest.

As as a matter of interest - what is your work, what are your skills.

Perhaps all the lovely peeps on here can put our heads together and help you come up with a master plan. Please forgive me if you have already mentioned what work you do - I seem to be a tad forgetful of late. :o

Anyway off to the cinema in a while so just going to lie on the bed for half an hour and "rest my eyes".;)
  • Just a quick thank you will read through properly when afresh in morning. Had a proper cry this evening, think its hormones and everything but feel better for it but drained. Off to bed, sleep makes everything look rosier.

Tomorrow i will set about a plan of action. Eh xx

Couldn't read and run EH. Tomorrow's a shiny new day. If I were you I'd start being assertive where you are now, it'll help give you confidence and put you in control. Ask your manager exactly what you were supposed to have done wrong, tell them it's no help being moaned at if you don't know why. Then start preparing your CV. Remember it's Fab Friday and the sun's going to shine! Look your best, it'll do wonders for your confidence.
