I was thinking of starting at say 1800 cals for 5 days......

I would agree with you LL, as his calorie intake is for him, and guys need more calories per day than women do.

and then 600 for 2 days, but as you say splitting the 600 cals over two light meals. I don't fancy "gorging" - if one can gorge on 600 calls:rotfl: and then starving for the rest of the day.

:( Sorry to burst your bubble....have just listened to it again....and it is only ONE meal of 600 calories a day on the fast days, but you can choose when you want to eat that one meal.

And no he didn't do the two fast days consecutively, but as he said, ".....they were a bit scattered around".

Here's the Iplayer page, for anyone who missed iit...or wants to watch it again :D ....

    Morning Fabbers!
Today is the day that the weather is supposed to improve - fingers crossed! Its trying to be sunny here but there is some cloud too. Come on Mr Sun!

Had a good sleep last night and have woken up raring to go. If the rain holds off I'm going to take the dog to the water park for a good walk first thing (I usually wait until about 8am so there are a few other people around just to be on the safe side). Today is also swimming day so will pop off to the pool this morning before the skiddie winks turn up;)

I must get myself organised with regards to the holiday today too so will decide what I'm taking, get it washed and ironed if necessary and get a case out of the attic. Must also write a list of things to buy/do later in the week too - sunscreen, toothpaste, dog food for his holiday in sunny Wales etc.

I did manage a good start on the mammoth schoolwork project of writing a new scheme of work for yr 11 yesterday so will press on and try to complete the second topic today (there are 6:eek:).

My nails also need doing - they don't break and are now very long and a bit like talons so thats a job for tonight whilst watching telly. I started a new book last night by Dawn French (called A Tiny Bit Marvellous). Going ok so far, quite funny.

Hope everyone has a good day. xx
  • Morning All,

I want to scream, walked into office and got moaned at because I had made a mistake on something but wouldn't show me what so I know for next time! I've had enough already! This work place constantly knocks my confidence only ever get negative feedback never a thankyou or praise! Rant over.

Fabbing wise I'm going to make a hair app today, always feel better once hair cut & coloured just costs so much!

Have a lovely day everyone, lets hope the sun shines soon :)

    EH xx

    Morning all,

Was lovely here yesterday and is looking bright and sunny so far today (though, this being Scotland it can have changed six times before I get out of work this afternoon :rotfl:) If it's still fine at least when I finish then might have to do a 20min walk along to Asda and get some bits in - EH you may have inspired me to pick up some hair dye too :) Not done it for ages and can't afford a hairdresser at the moment but should be able to spring for some dye and then will trim it while I'm doing it.
Went to Superdrug on Monday and they're doing a 2 for £3.99 on their Vitamin E range so got a hot cloth cleanser (£5.99 for 1 or 2 for £3.99 - thought it was a mistake at first!) and a moisturiser. Tried it last night and my skin does feel quite nice this morning. For those on here who use them - do you moisturise straight afterwards or are you supposed to leave it a bit? I put the moisturiser on top of it before I went to bed as it did feel a little bit dry.

Had choir last night - we were in a different hall as ours is booked out for the festival. It was quite tiny so the deaf choir are coming next week now instead - just as well or they would have been sat on our knees! A woman there works in the NHS and I'd been chatting to her about the photography last week, this week she brought me the site to sign up for NHS work and took my website down so she can point her department there if she hears of something coming up - thought that was really nice of her :) Need to get on with work tonight but my computer is playing up at the moment - OH normally fixes it for me but is out all the time at the moment :( Hope it works today as I have so much to do and can't cope without it right it!

Hope everyone has a good day - EH hope yours gets better hun x

Oh I'll have to have a rethink then, I thought like LL that it was the calories that counted not the one meal thing. Yesterday I used myfitnesspal and ate about 800 cals, so I was over the 600 but still less than I usually eat. I figure it's in the right direction so that's ok. Will aim to do a bit better today and count these as my 2 fast days. Think I will find it easier to do the one meal thing when kids are back at school, so for now will stick with the 2 low cal days and ease myself in.

I use hotcloth cleanser(sometimes) and I do moisturise but I do leave it a bit before I do it maybe half an hour or so , not sure if you are meant to or not. I also got 2 hairdyes for 3.99 from superdrug if you near again today.

Did a facial this morning and need to do my nails again later. Went to the jobcentre yesterday. The careers advisor did a personality check and told me that only 2% of the population have my personality traits. Not sure if that's good or bad? I'm my own worst critic was one remark I can't really argue with:o. I have another appt next month but one comment didn't instill much confidence, this being that as I'd been referred as the partner of an ESA claimant we would 'go through the motions', which indicates even further that they are wasting both their own and my time to appease the government. Anyway I've done as they've asked so can't get any comeback on that score. I have been waking with that anxious feeling in my stomach though don't know if it's connected or not. Off for some exercise now. Enjoy your day.

Oh dear Lizzie I know that "anxious pit of the stomach feeling" only too well at the moment. It's horrible isn't it. Hope you (and me both) feel better soon.

Re the Jobcentre - what a total waste of time, effort, energy and money. You must feel so frustrated.

OH really not too good - hence my lack of sleep and tummy problems. He's on mega steroids to try and avoid surgery. There's nothing I can do and I feel useless.

Anyway have booked a hair appt for Saturday, am off to see Batman tomorrow with my lovely boys and it's my sister's 50th birthday this weekend - so fun and frolics are on the agenda:D.

I will just focus on those and try and put everthing else to one side for a while.

Sparkles & WW - I am loving all your positive life changes - you two are keeping me spurred on. You are proof positive that we can do it - we just have to keep going.

    Thanks.;)

EH - so sorry to hear about the ghastly time you are having at work - I agree b*s*a*ds.

Just been watching the athletics and I think we can all draw some inspiration from the 2 female athletes from Palestine and Saudi Arabia. They both ran in the 800m heats knowing they were going to be last (on their previous best times) and finished miles behind everyone else. Both ran in full Islamic dress and were cheered home by the whole stadium. They are truly fab - blazing a trail for other women in their position.:T:T:T
We are so lucky and have so many opportunities compared to some, we just need to grab hold of them and get out there and do it (whatever IT is).

    Off my soapbox now.....(think I'm a bit hormonal today:o)

LL sorry to see OH isn't doing so well. Hugs for you xxx

Lizzie hugs for you too xxx

EH hugs for you aswell, how can you learn from your mistakes? Xxx

Oops had a bar of chocolate :o having a blue day today, fed up with whole redundancy thing dragging in, H applying for loads of jobs online and not hearing a dicky bird. Oh well draw a line under it and move on. No "green" day for No S today. I have to confess I think I've been too generous with my meal time portions to compensate for no snacking. It is common but I think I need to be more sensible with my portion sizes.
Also came to the conclusion early morning yoga is not for my body. I think I need about 4 hours to get everything going first otherwise I spend the rest of the day with tension like pains up and across my back. So am trying to work out when the best time is to fit it into my day. Am sure I can fit it in somewhere.
