So first No S day having pigged out on holiday. When it was just me at home in the afternoons avoiding sugar, seconds and snacks was OK, I won't say easy but was manageable. However I've just opened a packet of chocolate fingers for the kids.......man it's been hard to resist having one. But resist I have :D

Feeling a bit out numbered with all the welsh peeps......English born and bred here :) :rotfl:

Ooh Allie that link worked.......oh my I need a tissue!! How amazing :D

Well I'm back on the diet/healthy eating wagon today! I've put on half a stone since I last tried:eek:

Trying myfitnesspal again, I bumped into someone at work I hadn't seen for a couple months and she's lost 2 stone and looks great, she said she'd stuck to the 1200 cals a day tracking on myfitnesspal and upping exercise.

I realised last week it's a year since I first hurt my back. It's not getting much better despite physio, yoga, Pilates etc, and not doing hard exercise has just made me fat & stressed & miserable, so I'm just throwing myself back into stuff (will take care with weights etc) - Circuit training tonight will probably kill me, lol

    :eek::eek::eek:

After talking to my sister (who has quite severe cerebral palsy) , I've taken leave of my senses and only gone and volunteered and registered for a 10K run in early March to help raise money for the adult disabilities centre she attends.
The place provides water therapy, reiki, massage etc for adults with disabilities and those going through cancer treatment etc. Its also a social meeting place and a really fab resource for those that use it.
Its all funded by donations and is always in need of more cash. She was telling me about a woman who was doing a sponsored slim for them so I blurted out I'd do a run:eek:
The most obvious one was the St Davids Day 10K in Cardiff on March 2nd and before I knew what I was saying I'd agreed, registered and now here I am barely being able to run 4K with 6 months to go.:rotfl:

I know that now I've said I'll do it I won't let them down so it will give me some focus to keep on running.

Feeling much better now I've been for a walk, think the legs will be ready for a trot tomorrow, better had be.......

Good luck Faithless - just start slowly

  • WW - well done. I would also sponsor you. I would even offer to run with you as I need the motivation but I am too far away.
  • I'm not too fab at the mo, covered in insect bites so itchy and swollen and to top that off am fighting a sore throat which keeps me awake all night coughing.

However, my nails are looking nice - I painted them a sparkly green last week which reminds me of The Wizard of Oz and Wicked and everytime I see them, the songs from Wicked keep coming back into my head. (One short day in the emerald city....)

I've also kept up with running but not as often as I'd like and I'm way behind WW. I'm away with work again this week so may not get chance to do anymore until the weekend but will see.

    :rotfl:

Ok so back with a vengeance now. I will lose 1.5 stone by Christmas. I've procrastinated quite long enough.

I have tried WW and SW but to no avail. There's only one thing for it Calorie Counting. I have to confess I do rather like the "science" of calorie counting - energy consumed -v- energy expended and all that. I think it was you WW who said that counting calories worked best for you.

It has worked for me in the past so will have another crack at it.
    Anyway it starts today.

WW I will happily sponsor you in your latest sporting challenge - it sounds like a great cause.

There is a programme on tonight Horizon BBC2 9-00 pm - all about healthy eating, exercise etc. I have my book group tonight so will record it for later.

OH still not too good :(- a GP visit is being organised.

Heard a great quote today - an Arabic proverb.

"I will trust in God but tether my camel".

I like that one. I might make it one of mine. :rotfl:

Of course, you don't need to be religious to understand or agree with it.

Apparently we are due some sunshine later this week :j

:T:T:T me too! Well done you. You've got more than 6 months to get in training. Your life seems almost unrecognisable from just a few months ago. :T:T:T

Your link certainly did work allie, what an inspiration. Ironically, I thought his home was much tidier as his programme progressed. I've always though decluttering was a form of fabbing.

Pleased to say I've done some reading and ironing, so not completely wasted the day. Might do a bit of decluttering myself later. Strange day here, fairly bright but with torrential showers in between.

That's a real pain having to work away when you're feeling rough. Try and rest tonight but maybe take a walk in the fresh air first.

Allie - Thank you so much for that video link. Truly inspirational.

I have to confess it brought a tear to my eye. :o
