ww, maybe you and sparkles could enter a triathlon between you?;) You seem to hae two events each sorted. never mind, you have four years to train!!

:eek::eek: Not the way I feel at the moment! Just back from the "walk" which was more like mountaineering! So hard that quite a few people dropped out! 4.5 hours of steep hills, walking down streams and general hard work with only a 20 min break to scoff some sandwiches. Some people were complaining that it wasn't the walk advertised - no mention of such hard climbs. I will definitely feel it tomorrow,in fact my legs have already seized up and I still have to walk the dog again.:o
The good news is that myfitnesspal calculates the cals burnt as 1350! Thats more than a days food for me! May well treat myself tonight now.

Just like to say that not all Welsh people are as bad as those experienced on nights out - although I have had my moments in my youth!:rotfl:

Off to hobble round the streets with the dog before my legs completely stop working......

Hah, we're like a cultural exchange - I'm Welsh, but came to England for uni and stayed! (well, went back to Wales for a couple years then returned to Bristol)

I wouldn't want the Welsh to be maligned either. I'm Welsh though and through and proud of it. Met DH on university course and moved to England but... far away a voice is calling...

Maman - that was written especially for us exiles! Always brings a tear to my eye and makes me all patriotic and nostalgic. Will probably be singing it all day now! I have a CD of a Welsh Male Voice Choir in the car and almost always play it when I'm on the way home to the Motherland - most people would think I'm bonkers! When I go past the "Welcome to Wales" sign near Monmouth I always have a little sing of the national anthem - exOH used to think I was slightly unhinged!:rotfl: You can take a girl out of the valleys.....

Well, today I feel like I've been run over by a bus - everything aches:( I'm hoping that it will all loosen up a bit when I walk the dog, will be a very slow plod today. Think its a day off strenuous exercise for me.
I need to do a good few hours schoolwork, the weather isn't great and I'm not much use for anything else!
Will do a bit of dog fabbing later - he's desperately in need of a bath, blow dry and brush (the dreaded 3 B's in my house!).

Hope everyone has a good Monday.

I don't think you're unhinged ww. I always flash my lights and wave at the dragon as we come off the Severn Bridge!:) My DH is used to it but it was odd earlier in the year when we were around the Chester/Wrexham area as we kept going back and forth over the border and I had to wave every time!! Good luck with the dog fabbing, I'm sure he'll look great and all ready for his holidays! Sorry to hear you're in a bad way from yesterday, try to keep moving without overdoing it.

I've done a basic fabbing routine today. Shower, slather, hair etc. I'm going to make myself do some reading but the Olympics are so compulsive. Maybe I'll finish my ironing with 5 Live in the background. I'm really enjoying it but getting frustrated with the time consumed. I tried taking myself off to a huge M&S on Saturday, was prepared to treat myself but didn't fancy anything that wasn't in the food hall!:rotfl:

    Have a good day all.
  • Hi All. Not much fabbing going on with me at the moment. Still working through this infection I have - It is making me totally exhausted. Went back to bed after breakfast today again and only got up at 12noon.

I haven't really thought about goals but last night I started working through a new book I bought a while ago called 9 Days to feel fantastic. I have skimmed the first 3 chapters and he is looking at excercise, 'me time' and sleep. I am going to try and work through this and start with some light exercise in the form of Yoga. I have been meaning to restart my Yoga programme from ages but the following link really motivated me to go for it

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qX9FSZJu448 :T:T:T

Will have a wee think about my goals this afternoon, also bearing in mind that my late start with this challenge leaves me about 7 weeks to go.

PS: I have never posted a link before. If it doesn't work please could someone tell me what I should be doing? Thanks
