Am expecting a regular large payment to my business account from a client (self employed).
I've spoken to the client and they confirm they made the BACS payment as normal. I have in turn called Natwest as the payment in is not showing on my balance.
I called Natwest anyway and they refused to even investigate until after 2pm today stating they are are hoping to resolve BACS issues before then.
I won't hold my breath..........0 -

Hehe that is a large amount and definitely not something I would want to be carrying around. However, could he pass on something a bit less to tide you over and pay your rent?Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

This is such a mess! I can totally unerstand that sometimes technology fails, I know that is unavoidable but what does annoy me is that there is no Plan B! We are so reliant these days of this way of living that there really needs to be anothr option when systems fail as every one knows that can happen, so why are they not prepared in some way incase it does!0

Just on BBC News again now.
I'm afraid my account doesn't look 'resolved', as they put it. Although all transactions are listed, some large amounts are still not cleared.
Hm just checked again and tried to view my statement which apparently is not available at this time....Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

News says it's been fixed but won't be back to normal until Monday
On the BBC News website it states:
"The underlying technical issue has now been resolved, according to a source within RBS.
However the inconvenience to customers is likely to continue throughout Friday as staff try to clear the backlog.
The weekend will provide a breathing space to update payments in and out of accounts, although there is no guarantee that everything will be back to normal by Monday." :eek:GC Jan '17 £237.54/£350GC Dec £193.02/£400
