  • Will NatWest compensate non-NatWest Customers who have been affected by this? Some people have their wages paid from NatWest and haven't been paid - NatWest say they will compensate their Customers but what about charges incurred by others who cannot pay their bills?

My husband is saying that if it isn't fixed by say sunday (I have trouble thinking anything will be solved over a weekend) he will have to get a payday loan to tide us over until next friday. The interest on those things are phenomonal! I can't imagine being able to pay that back.

I can't remember if you already said, but does your hubby bank with Natwest? If he does, a payday loan (please don't do it if you can avoid it!!) won't help as it will go into the account you can't access.

Important Information for our customers - message timed at 10:30 on 22 June

    **NEW**
We are continuing to experience technical issues with our systems, which is impacting a large number of our customers. As a result, money credited to accounts overnight may not be appearing on balances today.

This problem is strictly of a technical nature and we are working hard to fix it as soon as possible. We will ensure that no customers will be permanently out of pocket as a result.

Staff in our branches and at our call centres are ready and available to answer any questions. Staff in branches will also be able to assist impacted customers who need access to cash.

We apologise to our customers for this unacceptable inconvenience. We will continue to provide regular updates throughout the day.

Sounds right, they told me they are checking every 15mins in branch and it's hour by hour. They won't even let people put money in accounts.

If not sorted Monday I'm going to draw money out for my car tax before I get fined
