Not working for me still. Unable to complete online purchases and iOS mobile banking not working (although as far as I can tell this hasn't worked since last month's fiasco).
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :j

  • Thought I would register here just to say as of 16.52 I cannot make card payments and any money transfered between my accounts is vanishing into thin air. Just tried to move £10 and its gone. Sick of this from natwest.

Yes, the system has crashed again. I transferred money from my savings to current to buy a new washer dryer, and the money is in limbo somewhere! Called up to be told they HOPE it will be resolved in a hour. The poor lady I spoke to on the phone sounded really fed up as they are being inundated with calls and no-one actually tells them anything about the problem - I speak from experience!

I've just tried to buy a lottery ticket and thought I was doing something wrong - resulted in account being locked :( Dialed number and told by robot that I need to contact NatWest as we can't help you. Phoned NatWest and automoron says sorry, too busy and hangs up. Not happy

I'm currently stranded in the office. Husband was out buying a new car today as his old car was terminal. He was going to purchase the new car with a debit card from Natwest. However, he's been unable to do the transfer thanks to the current difficulties.

I should have finished work 40 minutes ago, and will be stuck here for at least another 30-40 mins.

Plus we get the joy of another two hour trip to purchase the car at the weekend. Thankfully he's not lost the car as they took a £100 deposit, .

Fresh difficulties with debit card payments and online banking at NatWest have emerged, just a few weeks after a computer failure.

NatWest customers are facing fresh concerns, with debit card payments being turned down and online banking not working properly. Graham Powell, a NatWest customer for 25 years, said he had made three failed attempts to make a £900 mortgage payment on the telephone using his debit card. "It is not good enough, I need to make this mortgage payment," the 50-year-old said.

A spokesman for NatWest said: "Some of our customers are experiencing technical difficulties this afternoon with online banking and debit cards. We are working hard to resolve this and will provide an update as soon as possible."

I still cannot make any purchases with my debit card.
  • I tried to buy a lottery ticket, but was refused. Am now a bit worried about buying petrol - I can't get home without putting some in the car.

Am currently on hold to NatWest.

Makes me think twice about staying with them.
