The next week or so is the busiest time of the month for salary payments, and I'm guessing everyone is affected by these issues. I can see a lot of people looking for a new bank.0 -
Any regular payments in are being cashed even if not showing0

For anyone waiting for wages/benefits/payments etc to go in via bacs.
The bacs payments are processed only once every day at 4- 4.30pm so if they manage to sort the issue before this time nothing will show in your account until they do another bacs process at 4- 4.30pm this afternoon. So don't even bother to check for money in via bacs until after 5pm. If the problem is not sorted by then unfortunatly it will have to wait until they do the next bacs process tomorrow at 4 - 4.30pm.
This is not just Natwest by the way. This is protocol for all banks and building societies who process bacs it is only done once a day at around 4 - 4.30pm.0 -
If the money isn't showing, does that mean its not in there or could I go to the cash point and withdraw money I know should of been in there today. Or is it just a matter of waiting until the balances are updated?0

Only if you bank with Natwest not if you are with another bank waiting for money to come in from Natwest! LLyods TSB will not honor my direct debits going out and advise they will be returned, They will not waiver the charges I am to incurr and they will not let me draw against my regular wages that go in on 21st of every month (even though they have been paid in on this date without fail for the past 16 years!)0
