We are Lloyds via company account HSBC and still nothing  was due last friday company rang HSBC and they said as 2 on the BACS run were Natwest they bounce the lot back so sat living in hope lol x

If it is a widespread problem that BACS runs between nonRBS banks are being bounced because there are also Natwest transactions on the same run, then this meltdown must be having far more widespread implications that current media reporting would suggest.

Anyone else got any knowledge of similar problems?
  • Hmmm, large direct debit had gone out on Friday, NOW it hasn't hmmmmmm

Am I only person who still can't access online banking - generic message appears -
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Have not had access since 9.30 am Friday. Is this part of Natwest problem, or am I having separate problem?

    Driving me insane!!

Same with me Jules. I've tried IE & Firefox and cannot access the service at all. It's been that way for me since 7.30 am yesterday.

I don't know how you are with computers but try doing a disk cleanup and defragment then restart.

Also unplug your modem breifly to reset it.

That usually gets shot of that message for me.

Nice chap on the phone (40 minutes on hold but not surprisingly) understood that the nearest local branch open today for us, wastoo many miles away, and is doing us a temporary £300 credit to tide us over till everything is sorted out. We should have it in the next 2 hours.

It's been a hellish weekend for lots of folks, but I must say I am impressed with the service we received this morning. Credit where it's due.

happy to see that jinty that's great.
just a shame they couldn't have handled this mess
better for other folks in need.
