Just heard on one of the news channels - I think BBC that Natwest branches are only open today (Sunday) from 0900-1200 so if you need cash - get out of bed and get down there quick !

Non-Natwest customers are gonna be in limbo for another few
days at the very least like myself.

Hi, just a little update from a lurker.
I've just gone into my online account - my balances are incorrect BUT I can now look at transaction statements for the last month AND it is showing a DD that is due to go out tomorrow. So armed with a calculator and the slips from the thurs/fri shopping I can approximate what the balances should be. Hope this is a sign that things are getting back to normal for everyone else.

Anyone who is non natwest waiting on a payment drawn on a natwest account got it yet ?

Seams only Natwest customers are seeing the bennafit if natwests IT resolve at the moment.

I guess it could be that the receiving bank won't show until Monday but Lloyds seam to handle my pay as faster payments

I've just been told by telephone banking that they are expecting to have it sorted late tonight/early tomorrow, and that my nearest branch is open till 2 today.

I have sent OH out with my card to get out what's there as I have a basic account and their barmy rules mean the closest ATM I can use is 2 miles away because the post office is shut today.

I have online/mobile access now, but still no sign of the payment that was due Saturday.

Have not had access since 9.30 am Friday. Is this part of Natwest problem, or am I having separate problem?

Nice chap on the phone (40 minutes on hold but not surprisingly) understood that the nearest local branch open today for us, wastoo many miles away, and is doing us a temporary £300 credit to tide us over till everything is sorted out. We should have it in the next 2 hours.

It's been a hellish weekend for lots of folks, but I must say I am impressed with the service we received this morning. Credit where it's due.
