Im not sure what the process is at the moment for non RBSG customers sorry.. However im sure a process will be put in place.

Does this include non Natwest customers?

The process is that you go to a NW branch, with proof of what charges you have incurred.

The NW staff member will take the details and email them to a team that has been set up to deal with non-NW customers.

Each case will be looked at individually.

    Hth.
  • Had a look on Natwest website and they have an ideas bank its called.
Basically a kind of forum where you make threads and post what
    you think of the bank.

Well i have to say it's pretty funny obviously been bombarded
with complaints but the amount of posts saying that Natwest
have done a great job so far is hilarious.

I'm guessing there is a building in India full of Natwest shills
making posts about how great Natwest is and why they will
always stay with Natwest no matter what.

Thats good I thought they may have wanted proof from the TP that they will not refund the charges first. :)

I think you may be confusing 'important' with 'worried'.

It may not concern you, but some of those unfortunate enough to end up on benefits might not have the luxury of other funds to fall back on.

What a complete load of tripe!!..I am on ESA at the moment, for a heart condition.I had a stroke last September & I have worked constantly since 1983,only in the past couple years have I been out of work, mainly doing temporary contracts & I volunteer at the local animal sanctuary.
Do I consider myself more important than the next man, working or unemployed?...No I don't,however I'm sure the are those who do.
Yes,I normally get my money on a Saturday instead of a Monday & for it to be paid in later than I normally get it is an inconvenience, especially when you rely on that money to pay bills & eat & when you have paid said bills, you are not left with a lot from the £71 a week I get especially since my redundancy & savings have ran out.
And I had enough food & electricity to last until Monday although I ran out of cat food today.
Do I want to work, hell yes! I have a job interview next week on Friday. It was Tuesday but the problems with the RBS have forced them to reschedule. So you see it's not only affecting people financially.
I sincerely hope you do not find yourself out of a job & claiming JSA in the future, however with the economy being the way it is,it's a possibility for everyone, even you.And if that does happen,I'm sure you'll feel pretty stupid for making crass comments like that.

Miss Trollster is not so high and mighty as she tries to make out and if you read her previous posts she has had low money times herself so should know better, it's all about trying to wind people up with her so she is best completely ignored then she will crawl back into the hole she came out of. Maturity will catch up with her one day.;)

For those who are non Natwest customers, I've just been on Nationwide website (who we bank with) and a sticky is on there to contact your local branch who may be able to help if you are waiting for payments due to this situation.......
However, my local branch is head office...so I rang them...and they can't help!!

DH wages which should have been in the bank on Thursday Morning.

The next bacs run is sunday night/monday morning up to 4am however if your payment doesn't get through in that time (if natwest/rbs/ulster release it then) you will have to wait until Tuesday and so on.....

The only saving grace for us is I get paid on Wednesday and that comes from Co-op Bank. :)

I'm due to get tax credits & Carer's Allowance paid into my HSBC a/c on Monday. PLEASE tell me that Tax Credits & Carer's Allowance don't use Nat west. If they do, we're in serious bother. My wages from Next are due on Tuesday, so if they don't go in, DD's won't go out and I'll get bank charges and can't be doing with the hassle of trying to get markers removed from my credit file.

So you rely on a bank loophole to get money two days early? Hate to see it when they shut it off.

Read this thread people who are claiming benefits are demanding "their" money.
