  • Just had a PM from another forum member who also had the same experience of NOT being able to get money out of Natwest despite evidence, they were told the same and said the counter staff had told them they could not offer money to those who only play in benefits because they don't know if your award has stopped or if you are bringing in historic award letters.

All well and good but whatabout if you had had a job, last months salary was your final pay and you weren't due anything this month but asked the bank anyway but your score says you can have £300 but you might not actually have the funds to repay?

Will they be reimbursing those who've had to travel significant distances to the open branches in an attempt to sort things out? I'm not in that position but the lady behind me had travelled 30 miles to try and sort it out. As she said it's a 60 mile round trip, she's financially inconvenienced by the additional cost of fuel?

Seriously. You bank with a poor bank. move on!

They are all poor, there is not enough physical cash in the bank to pay everyone what they've deposited.

The banks rely on this fact that people just leave their money in the bank so it's not a problem. But if there was a rush, then physically there would not be enough cash in the branch to cope with the amount of withdrawals so would restrict the amounts people would be able to take out in cash.

That would be hilarious - Natwest managers outsourcing to incompetent contractors, with no decent staff left to fix the problem. Jeez, I work in IT and they are trying to do this at work :rotfl:

No sympathy from me if this is case. Lets hope this is an example to the IT industry and brings the bank to its knees!!!!!

Some of us don't bank with nw but the employer does and this is causing a problem too so you're not entirely correct melbell

Yeah like myself i'm with Halifax and work part-time
through an agency. My first wage in 3 weeks and this happens
i'll get by but it's those with families and low income i feel
    sorry for.

And also even though Natwest say this glitch is fixed it wouldn't
surprise me if this carried over to the middle or end of next
week when a lot more people get paid at the end of the month.
A lot of my friends and family get paid then and they didn't
even know about this till i told them today and a lot of their
    employers bank with RBS.

RBS/Natwest better pray this really is fixed in the next few days.

Tomorrow will be a first for me with my branch opening. I didn't have to work of course but a few hours overtime at the weekend rate will compensate even if my other half is far from amused as she'll not see me tomorrow.

Love the fact all the dole dossers and benefit claimants are demanding "their" money.

What's that got to do with it?

Are people receiving benefits less entitled to access their funds than anyone else?
