Just out of interest at what time did you manage to book because if you got your second choice then you must have taken some time?
I think it's a bit of a lottery after the quiz part...some they let through others they don't?

I think you are right. I even answered all the questions correctly (double checked on google afterwards although they were easy) and it told me I got one wrong and to try again!!! Very annoying. Then when I tried again got through and all the rooms had gone.
  • Wasn't impossible. Started exactly at 12, answered Q's in about 10 seconds, pasted email address into both boxes.
No idea what date I clicked, but if you waste time looking at the calendar and choosing one you have no chance!

Did anyone get through? If so, did you get a confirmation email?

I have no idea if I got through or not. I got to paypal then my computer crashed!

all the dates were wrong on their calendar

what's the point when they can't even get their dates right? got through the quiz really quickly and there were plenty of rooms left but then when i went to book the dates i wanted they didn't match up so hesitated and they all sold out.

    shambles.

plenty of people on twitter complaining about the dates being wrong too.

I booked for a weekday at the end of July - didn't bother trying whilst Olympics are actually on or for a weekend as they would have gone first. When i clicked on my first date it said is what full so clicked on the next day which came up as free. My questions were easy and i did not have to google any answers plus i can type pretty fast which may have given me an advantage.
  • 460 rooms sold in a minute!

Their IT technicians must be better than those at the banks!!!!:rotfl:

i don't usually complain about missing out on the sale, I managed to get one a few years ago, but I answered the questions quickly, entered my details then the calendar was wrong. I wanted tues 4th september, but as the calendar was wrong i had to double check my own calendar, by then they were gone.

this mistake is even worse than the slow servers they have been using the last few times, at least then the calendars were correct

ok, maybe not impossible, but very, very hard. 10 seconds gives you around 2 seconds to read and answer each question, then 2 seconds to fill in your details. I thought i was doing well at 30 seconds! clearly not good enough. Surprised that 460 people were quicker than that though.

Managed to get one, was a lot smoother than usual.
Basically once you clicked your date it said you had the room.

You then had as long as you want to checkout on paypal.

So those saying it wasn't possible to fill in all details etc in 60 seconds, you only had to fill in your name and email address and then answer the 4 questions and click your date.

I did too, and my answers were done as fast as i could type (i touch type too). I think it all must have been luck of the draw
