I have fallen foul too. I use online banking, and they have taken £57.95 from my account, as of 22/06/2012, but I haven't even had the product for 14 days! what should I do, get my bank to refund my monnies and investigate, or do I send it back? does it now mean that as they have taken the money, that I am not entitled to a refund? please advise which address I should send the product back to? x
If you contact your bank the chances are the chargeback will fail and the bank will take the money back.
Contact the company straight away. Read their cancellation policy and follow it - better later than never I guess?0 -
Where do DSRs state a physical address must be supplied?
Section 7. and section 8Information required prior to the conclusion of the contract

(a)provide to the consumer the following information—
(i)the identity of the supplier and, where the contract requires payment in advance, the supplier’s address;
8.—(1) Subject to regulation 9, the supplier shall provide to the consumer in writing, or in another durable medium which is available and accessible to the consumer, the information referred to...
(c)the geographical address of the place of business of the supplier to which the consumer may address any complaints;0 -
The moment you make a complaint to the bank thay will refund the 57.95 then investigate which takes about 5 - 6 weeks let you know the outcome and if not happy then appeal the outcomePrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0

To be fair due to the products they are selling it does make sense on the returns address there's only a couple of countries that could possibly sell dead sea products.0

Lots of things we all buy are made in China, no-one asks us to return them to China when faulty or unwanted!
Regardless of where the product originates, it is being sold in the UK by a UK-registered company. Expecting returns to be sent to Israel is ludicrous and, I would guess, a breach of the DSR.Je suis Charlie.0 -

Depends the website is obviously dodgy in regards to the UK business address but I'm guessing they are shipping from Israel hence the returns address. If your item was shipped to you from China the same may happen with a return but you should be made aware the company isn't based in the UK.
The main issue seems to the fronting of the company from the UK when it's quite clear the company are not based and supplies not held in the UK. Which is causing DSR issues and non compliance.0 -
I am raging!!!!
Having e-mailed the company, they had agreed that if i return the beauty kit, they will refund me £57.95.
On 02 July 2012, they have taken ANOTHER £57.95 from my account!! that's £115.90 paid out in ten days; one payment was taken on 22 June 2012, and now another! I have e-mailed them and kicked off. I'm so P'd off....0 -
I like to think that I'm a reasonably 'savvy' person, neither naive or gullible. And yet, I too have fallen for the Dead Sea scam. Before some of the earlier posters 'have a go' at me, for not reading the T's & C's, I put my hands up to 'fess' that I didn't exercise my usual due care to them. What is patently clear, is that the ad is incredibly misleading. It makes you believe that you will receive a 'free trial', for paying the p & p. Ok, I thought, give it a go. The parcel duly arrived - the courier knocked on the door, and I signed to acknowledge receipt. At this point, the guy said 'make sure you check your bank account'. I asked why. 'Because we get absolutely loads of complaints from our customers - money is taken from their bank accounts, without authorisation'. (Not going to name the Courier, for obvs reasons) I decided not to even open the package, contacted my CC co, and told them I wanted a block put on any requests for payments from this company. My CC co mailed me to say they'd contact me within 7 days - they haven't up to now. Meanwhile, I emailed Dead Sea Beauty Kit, told them I didn't want to even try the product, and would return it. They then offered to reduce the price to £40. I still wanted to return the product, and today took it to the P.O. I wanted it 'tracked' as I wasn't confident returning the goods to a PO Box no in Israel. I was quoted £54 approx!!! (The parcel weighs 1/2 kilo). Reluctantly, I think I'll have to keep the products.
Sorry, but this IS a scam - the ad was designed to mislead IMO. I've learned a tough lesson, but it won't happen again!
Eloise, if you go to their website, there is a customer service link. Don't waste time trying to ring them. Good luck. PM me if you want to. (Is there a PM facility on MSE?)0 -
I've just emailed the company to return my "free" trial products - but I'd like you to take a look at this and see why/how I was taken in. Prepare yourselves for a whole new crop of complaints:
Only I can't post links!
So, how do I get this page checked out? Its via the new Woman's Helath magazine.0
