Does anyone know if there's anything to deter (e.g. fees, penalty clauses) from overpaying on the card so you have a credit balance?
This would be useful before going abroad to make use of the free fx whilst negating the low credit limit.0 -
Just applied, got an estimated £500 limit - timing should be just right for earning extra cashback once the initial 3-month 5% cashback period on my Capital One Aspire Mastercard expires at the end of July. :beer:0

I have just had my application for this card rejected. They claim my credit score was too low. This is rubbish as my credit history is excellent and I pay off my existing credit card in full every month. I suspect that is the real reason for rejecting my application!0

I had mine rejected too but my credit rating is bad, only wanted it to help rebuild my credit. All is not lost though, vanquis have accepted me lol0

I'm 99.9% positive that on my form it said something like 'to be determined at a later date'.
Hope they send me the limit when I get the card, because I don't really wanna ring up.
Also could I pay off my credit card, online? Using the Aqua site?
thanks @The-Gaffer for answering my Q?
and @£££saver, no idea but I was wondering that too. Anybody?0 -
well im very confused, had an acceptance forum dated the 22nd with £500 in the bottom left hand corner of the acceptance form.
Sent it off on the 26th....yesterday I received a letter from them saying that ive been declined a card ?
Bit odd is that - have closed a aqua card within the last year which I used for for a few years.Pay One Debt 2012 Challenge #62 Next £10.65/£4100 -

Normally it's against Ts&Cs to go into credit, so worst cases yor card gets blocked. I have not checked Aqua Ts&Cs but to my knowledge NO other card allows this.
Other problem is not being insured if YOUR money is used fraudulently or stolen, I believe the CC companies insure themselves but I've been told in the past that credit balances are not insured.
Call and let them know where you are going beforehand, No guaranrantees but it may save you £20 on yourmobile bill from abroad (had that experience).0 -

I do take cash advances (abroad) but who knows?
