    For instant access I use
Derbyshire Building Society NetSaver Issue 4
Is that actually instant access though? Can you login, click "Withdraw funds" and the funds are back in your current account within minutes, ready to withdraw from an ATM or pay a bill?

To be quite honest, I hadn't tried any transfers back since I opened this account few months back.

But I just tried transfering £10 to Nationwide. Had to go through a lot of steps to get there. At the end it said, "Your request has been recorded and the transfer will reach your nominated account by the end of the next working day."

Not FP it seems but I will check my Nationwide account later.

    PS.
NetSaver Issue 4 is no longer available.
Noticed this at the Derbyshire site:
    Derbyshire NetSaver - Issue 6
    2.75% gross p.a./AER. includes a fixed bonus paid until 28 February 2014
    thederbyshire.co.uk/Savings/Savings.aspx

    Sorry about that!

Thanks. Annoyingly they won't support chrome, at least for the registration part

Why not instal Internet Explorer 9 and also Mozilla but have Chrome as your default browser and only use the others when necessary.

First time I tried using this card was about an hour after activation. And it worked. :)

If its anything like Nationwide's MySave (and considering its the same bank, I suspect it is), then a transfer request at a weekend won't be processed until Monday night/Tuesday morning, like a lot of BS savings accounts.

What I like about the Halifax savings account is that if you transfer to a Halifax or TSB current account, the money is there as soon as you've clicked "Confirm". Anywhere else takes just a few minutes. Perfect when you decide to go out for a meal and need to call the ATM for some cash first.

IE 10 has been installed by default, and that's exactly what I use - Perks of being a student and getting Windows 8 a month and a bit before release date

My two least favourite things in the world in that Quote. "IE" and "Windows". Mac and Safari/Chrome for the win :P

that £10 transfered from Derbyshire BS last night, showed up in my Nationwide Flex account this morning. I have noticed with all bank and BS accounts that I have, the first payment to a new payee often takes longer than 2 hours specified for FP.

Seems better than Nationwide then, as I organised a payment from my Nationwide MySave account to my Nationwide FlexAccount (the linked account) on the 17th, but I didn't see it in my account until the 19th.
