Done £800 on a £500 limit this month.
4 months usage and I will have done the £100 max cashback by the looks of it, and then it will be in a drawer for 8 months!0 -
Managed to do £625 on a £250 limit in the first month = £18.74 cashback. Don't think I'll pull that off again, mind you, but i'm hoping for an increase in limit at some point that'll make it easier.0

You might earn it quicker, but you won't get it paid any quicker, see my post"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0

I've got a small problem now; I want to buy a new TV, which is priced at £995. Too much for my £500 limit Aqua, and I can't put the account in credit by £500. If I use my AA card, I'll get basically £5. Halifax clarity will get £5, and the other cards will get zero.
How willing are retailers normally at splitting a purchase between multiple cards?0 -

If it's instore it should be ok. Everywhere I've ever worked has let the till operator type in a specific amount to charge to a card - they can just do that several times.0 -

Personally I would not put it in a drawer.
Amex cancelled some cards that were "dormant" and the users lost the cashback.
Can't you buy a sandwich once a month on it?
Up to you, but I wouldn't do it.0 -
Godamm £250 credit limit I accidently went over by £2.50 and they charged me £12!!!!
I'm guessing no cashback for me now?
So bloody awkward having a low limit.
Not awkward, just very irresponsible on your behalf.
Spend £100, pay it off early via debit card. That is what I, and most other people, do.SwagBucks Challenge: 402/849

I agree. Use it at least every other month. 6 - 8 months unused is asking for cancellation.0 -
