From memory, since I don't have the T&Cs to hand to check, Annually based on account opening, credited to your account.

For anybody who has got this card, what is the online account service like for managing the account - statements etc.? Is it easy enough to make payments using a debit card to pay off your balance?

The online is very basic, but you can apply for more credit, pay with a debit card etc.

Also it takes about 2 days for any transaction to show.

    Hi

I know there's 0% loading of the exchange rate on this card, but could anyone tell me what rate is actually used? is it published live anywhere?

    Thanks

Just got rejected.....I have excellent credit history no CCJ's or anything bad on record, already use the capital one cashback card.... Bulls**t

I'm in exactly the same boat. No missed payments ever, I have £100k+ income and so on and so on, but got rejected. :D Probably because they know they'll not lure me into paying their inflated interest rates. I was just trying to upgrade from the 1% cashback Capital One card too, but never mind!

Do they ask for how long you've been working for your current employer in the application? I'm starting a new permanent job on Monday and I'm sure that wouldn't make it easier to get new credit, despite the existing credit history.

Yes they do. Why not apply today before you start the new job and put down the length of time at your previous employer? They don't ask for your employer's details.

I could, but I'd be lying as effectively my employment contract terminated on Friday. I should've applied last week. I guess I should wait for a couple of months now.

Maybe, maybe not. Most of the people on high incomes I know (which is not a lot! So I'm not saying this is a remotely scientific sample!) are rather reckless with things like this. One person for example was spending £60 odd a month on landline phone calls when they could have just bought an unlimited plan for £10...

I guess if you have £100k coming in, a few hundred pounds in charges here and there is rather irrelevant.

High earners do tend to say "Yeah, I can get it cheaper, but I just can't be bothered", whilst us low paid people try and find everything for the cheapest. Afterwall, why give money away?

Then again, I also know someone who has managed to spend every single £1 by the time he's paid. He's not exactly on minimum wage, far from it, but he still manages to spend all of it by (or before) he's paid again.
