Hi, By requested additional card on my partners Aqua account - will that create a [FONT=&quot]financial Association at CRA? Thanks

No. You are responsible for the additional cardholder's spending so it only goes on your report.

High earners do tend to say "Yeah, I can get it cheaper, but I just can't be bothered", whilst us low paid people try and find everything for the cheapest. Afterwall, why give money away?

But it's also about opportunity cost. If someone earn £100 an hour, then there is no point wasting one hour to save £5. OK, they might have a monthly salary and only be looking for good deals during their free time when they aren't working anyway. But it would still be a better use of their free time to do something that would increase their salary to £110 an hour.

WARNING: AQUA CARD seems to be exclusively for those with average to low credit scores.

Just received the standard rejection letter and I quote "We then calculate points that relate to each piece of this information. If the total score falls below a certain level, we may turn down the application - which is what happened in your case."

They then give the contact info for Experian.

Within the past 12 months did check my Experian credit record which was flawless and they gave me a credit score of 999 out of 1000! I think only God gets 1000!

So I strongly believe AQUA are ACTIVELY Rejecting people with great credit scores. I do feel they should be putting this out on their web site instead of wasting peoples time and effort and potentially damaging peoples credit scores with a rejection! Very annoyed with AQUA - FSA should get involved.

Makes me wonder how we can lower our credit scores so we can get this card. I got the 10 day message. I expect this means rejection in the post, yes?

    Hi

I know there's 0% loading of the exchange rate on this card, but could anyone tell me what rate is actually used? is it published live anywhere?

    Thanks

I would assume that as its a mastercard it would be the standard Mastercard exchange rate

Maybe I got accepted as I've already applied for several other credit based products in the last couple of months and they think I'm desperate, despite the fact that I have about 6K of unused credit? Who knows how their risk assessment and management procedures work.

Agreement came in the post yesterday, signed and returned. I don't know what my limit is yet. Can't wait to start earning cashback on this one.:)

Pin arrived on Thursday and card received today. Credit limit of £500 means no need to top up payments during the month. Very happy:)

I think the £500 credit limit should be sufficient, since there's a £100 cap on cashback. Once the cap has been reached might as well put the card in the drawer and use a different cashback card.

Do they actually need a certified photocopy of the ID/passport or I can just send them a normal photocopy? I have no idea how to certify a photocopy...

They should have specified what they require.
If they have specified that it needs to be certified then yes you need to provide that - a normal photocopy will not do.
Is there anything you don't mind sending off the original on the list - like DWP paperwork?

You can get documents certified at the post office for a small fee

I just applied and got rejected . We have an annual gross income that is well into six figures, own two properties and have a substantial sum in investment / bank accounts (viz approaching £1/4m) !!!!!!!!!

If the policy of Aqua is to turn down those with a good credit score can moneysavingexpert.com PLEASE HIGHLIGHT THIS!!!
