£500 limit pm for me - but all i do is when i get to @£300 spend i phone up and pay off the full amount and restart my £500 -this also avoids me going over my limit and therefore i cancelled my DD (i had problems keeping track of my Haliax cashback card with £300spend minimum - not nice when you find out you missed the reward due to miscalculation of spend)
Going to use it to pay utility bills - where is no DD discount

I had one of their 'normal' cards last year, was on a very high limit (over 1.5k). Closed it in the summer as got absolutely nothing from it. Opening this for Cashback on Petrol (well everything, my nationwide card is only 0.5%).

Got referred online, then got a letter which said I'd been accepted at the highest APR rates! Was surprised to get accepted at all since I have quite a lot of debt alread - but then when I saw the interest rate, maybe it's not such a shock! They're clearly hoping I'll struggle and not pay off the full lot - one month not paying it in full and it would cover the cashback for everyone!!

Will be interesting to see what the limit is - got a text this morning saying my card had finally been dispatched. Is the minimum £250? I'd imagine they'll only give me that, which means I can't quite max out the cashback, but £90 a year would be good!

Edit: Realistically £85, as won't be able to max the card out to the penny each month!

If there's a default charge, when do they add it to your statement?

Regarding my over the limit posts: if my statement doesn't indicate a charge, does that mean I'm off the hook? :D

I'm asking this because I never actually called them (I know, bad bad Uplink - *hangs head in shame*), but there's no over limit charge on my statement and my cashback appears unaffected. If that's where charges are supposed to appear, then it means over the limit reservations (holds, earmarks) don't result in a default charge (I was never over the limit in terms of posted transactions, i.e. balance).

Of those who actually took their balance over the limit, when did Aqua add the default charge to your statements? Immediately after going over the limit? A few days after? At the time the statement was produced? I'm curious.

    That's what they say.

Of course you can! Just pay your balance early, preferably by Faster Payments, not their "Pay by Debit Card" button, and you could even buy a Ferrari on the card if Ferrari don't mind you paying them in 250 quid instalments. It may take you a whole month from morning to evening, and you'll annoy a few people, but it's doable :D

Does anyone know if there's any danger of losing built-up cashback if I stop using the card? I've had it for about 6 months and have maxed out the cashback already so I have no reason to use it for the next 6 months - will I have any problems if I don't use it (like them cancelling the card and thus me losing the cashback)?

    I have a £250 limit.
Received my card last week & have already spent nearly £500.
I love the fact they accept faster payments.
Also like someone else has said, the bills I pay which dont offer a direct debit discount are now being paid by this card. Win win win.

Hahah could be very interesting! They'll get fed up after the 3rd payment and put a fraud block on your card!!

    I'll do that! :)

Hopefully by the time I've spent £3,600 to reach the cap I'll have paid my overdraft down a lot, so qualify for another decent cashback card somewhere else to use for the rest of the year! Nationwide's 0.5% is better than nothing, but pretty appalling so would rather not use that!

I've got a water bill to pay very shortly - hoping my card arrives on Monday or Tuesday so I can use it for that & this week's fuel - that'll be £240+ towards the cashback already!

I'm assuming you're not allowed to build a balance on it, but if I was to 'accidentally' transfer £500 rather than £50 and then pay my insurance off it they couldn't really do much could they? Halifax get in a strop (abusing the 0% abroad) but don't do anything other than send you a letter.

Insurance will be about £400, so that's £12 c/b. My insurers charge a £5 fee for credit cards, but if I phone and ask nicely they may even waive that too :D
