Redundancy is a form of dismissal. But you have not read the original post.

Its not the same as gross misconduct like not going to work, having a fight, telling the boss to !!!! off or stealing, is it?
    How do you define dismissal?

Right, so you've been helping clients who've had problems claiming JSA following dismissal in your current role as manager of an Emergency Duty Team with social services???!!!! er yeah right. That wouldnt be your role, as a senior manager.

A pig has just flown passed the virtual window. lol.

If your going to create a false indentity for youself then get your facts right first. You talk about other people being stupid etc!!! lol.
You'll be saying next your the Stig or something!!! unbelievable!!

I read "stig in the dump" good book, not the same stig Im guessing.

    The post says'

    'sacked for miss conduct'

How is that the SAME as redundancy?
  • Redundancy is definatley a form of dismissal, you dont just have to be dismissed for misconduct, or capability etc.
The employer is ending the employment contract.

I was being serious, but we are going off topic.

I was made redundant many many years ago and went to an IT as it was then. Only then did I find out that it was a form of dismissal. (I wanted a job)

I doubt you know anything at all about the work of an Emergency Duty Team manager, but yes, we do indeed get referrals as a result of people having no money because they have been sanctioned; and if you knew anything at all about social work you would also know that managers have to pitch in and do case work too, since we are always short of staff.

And if you have been following me with that much interest, then you would also know that this is what I am currently doing, and that in fact when in the UK I am an agency worker and do lots of different social work roles as required.

All you are doing is showing your own ignorance, and continuing your own misplaced vendetta. I have no other user ID on this site, I have had no other user ID on this site, and I have no false identities. Is the same true of you?

Technically it isn't. The idea is supposedly the position no longer exists - but it seems the norm for some businesses to make people redundant, then shortly after start recruiting again. Usually to get rid of the under-performing. If you see it one way, redundancy is usually decided based on scores, and if your scores are crap then it's your fault the scores are crap, and hence you lost your own job.
Wanted a job, now have one.
