Jsa doubt about past job

hi iv been claiming jsa for about 4 months now i never missed an appointment or anything but today i got a letter saying

a doubt has arisen on your claim for jsa because it appears that there were circumstances which caused your job to end

when i applied for jsa they asked me why i left my past job which i was sacked for miss conduct i was asked wot miss conduct but job centre said i didnt need to tell them or give details which i choose not to because of personal reasons.

now i got this letter saying they considering my case and let me know how it affects my claim.

what i dont get is wot does it matter how i lost my job because im claimg now and activley seeking work so how can jsa sanction me for something that happened in the past not while im on jsa also if they do sanction me for up to 26 weeks isnt that counter preductive seen as i wouldnt be able to survive on nothing and why have they waited till all this time to do this

any help appreciated thanks

It's possible the system has flagged you up, I was flagged up for something ridiculous and the compliance woman who saw me said the system throws up these things sometimes, particularly if there is a box unticked somewhere. You just have to explain why the job ended, and possibly they will contact your past employer to check this. I would answer their letter or attend their meeting, see what happens and if they want to stop your JSA or claim you've been paid when you shouldn't have then seek the help of the CAB. It sounds as though it would be the JC's fault, not yours, so you may not be liable for any overpayments.

They do seem to enjoy sending out very firmly worded letters and worrying people unnecessarily, this does seem completely ridiculous.

If you don't need JSA then why are you claiming it?

You were dismissed from your job for misconduct - that isn't "being flagged for a silly thing", it is something which people are sanctioned for. It was your own fault you lost your job, so they won't pay you JSA.

You have written in nothing but text speak! There really is no need for it, typing full words should take no longer.

    1. It wasnt my fault for losing my job. I lost it because of personal reasons but they didnt believe me and they sacked me for having to much time off because off the very personal reason.

Because remaining listed for the JSA might give you access to work programmes, training courses and suchlike.
