True, I can wear glitter eyeliner again, and start singing again! (Always told me I couldn't sing for toffee!)
I do hope feeling rubbish passes soon, I've drank gallons of tea and my cats are getting sick of me fussing them...0 -
I'm 20, and fairly mature for it (had to be!)
I'm currently still living at home, but we were looking at flats to move into - one option is forcing my sister to live with me, but I doubt she'd be too happy with that one!
It just winds me up - not a month ago he asked me to marry him (I declined very kindly) then he suddenly decides he'd rather prat about and dump me.
Grr!!!0 -
some of the best years i had were living alone in my flat, my own space, my choice of decor and bits and bats i loved it. :jgot my 1st flat at 16 and moved in with my partner at 22.
thats not to say i dont love living with my partner, but we have been together 19 years,0 -
I suppose at least I can have everything pink and cat related - he said it had to be uncluttered, but where's the fun in that?
I'm starting to cheer up a bit after my eight-billionth cup of tea and reading all your nice commentsI'm not one to stay miserable thankfully!

20 is an awkward age to get dumped. However, look on it as a catalyst to get your life moving in the direction it needs to go.

Time spent with a loser is never wasted - you learn from your mistakes, and won't pick someone so shallow next time round!
Whatever you do, don't go out looking for someone - especially when you are vulnerable after a recent break up - you may decide that anyone is better than no-one if you dread being alone, and could make a bad choice. As another poster said, it's valuable time spent on your own - you can do what you like, when you like and with whom you like - no being dicated to about contact lenses etc! And when the time comes, you are much more relaxed and will settle for nothing but the best - because you have had time to reflect and know what you want (and more importantly, what you don't want!)
I speak from experience - was married for 16 years and went straight to another relationship - big mistake! It wasn't 'right' for so many reasons but stayed because it was better than having no one (I thought). Got fed up eventually when I realised I was being taken for a mug - so I ended it. Had a lovely time with the TV remote, chocolate, bed etc all to myself and was resigned to staying happily single. Then I met up with my now DH - no plans for anything serious - but it just happened!
Wishing you all the best OP!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

He's actually older than me too, yet the most childish person I think I've ever met.
The awkward thing is, I'm quite shy and don't drink either, so I can't even go get hammered to get over it!0 -

thats the spirit, find a nice little flat for yourself. decorate to your liking. invite your friends round for a flat warming, :j
to think you would not have been able to have the girls round for d.v.d nights and coffee if you had got a flat with your ex by the sounds of what you say about him. a lucky escape i say.0 -
Aww thank you Sagaris
I'm very much the type of person who falls in love too easily, with him I did take it very slowly at first, didn't want to get into a relationship too quickly etc. He didn't give up though
He's just a complete and utter... something that rhymes with 'hunt'!
I did find it very weird at the time when he kept asking me to not bother with makeup, and not get contact lenses (which I actually need for medical reasons!) as why would you say those things?! Smacks of immaturity and insecurity, but love is blind I guess...0 -
