Gosh, are you actually awake after your lack of sleep?
Any more thoughts on your school career? I'm sure you'll get there which ever way suits you.
Glad to hear OH is cleaning the kitchen for you. Hopefully you'll be spared the lecture on cleaning, lol!

Barely awake to be honest, but OH has gone outside to do man things, do I can't sleep, Roo's being good so I'm trying to read some of my book!0

my career thoughts are really starting to get me down as I really don't know which way to turn. I think after working in a high school as a teaching assistant that I would really like to be a food technology teacher, not an english teacher as first thought. But the problem with that as that I'm doing a degree in English..... So where do I go from here? I really don't even know who to ask for advice. I have found a university that does design technology as a pgce which I think you can then specialise in food tech, but I need a relevant degree..... oh and the other sticking point is that the uni is an hour away.
I don't know if the OU does a design technology degree, to be honest I don't want to do a degree in that as I was rubbish at it at school, I just want to teach food tech but I think you have to go the whole design tech route. Another issue is, if I can get on a relavant degree, I will have to pay the new fees, and I definitely don't have a spare £9k a year!!!!!!
I do have another possible option though but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. If and it is a big if, I can change my degree to an open degree and specialise in english language and french, as some of my degree is already in english language, I could then go on to do a pgce at my nearest university and they they give you £15k to study, so Id come out much better off as that would pay my £9k course fees. But the two sticking points here, although a subject I really like and I'm not bad at it, I don't know if I want to teach it, I loooove cooking and sewing etc, but I don't love speaking french..... the other point is, I have a sneaking suspiscion I'm not going to be able to change my course unless I take on the new fees, which again I really can't afford.
Somebody please help and atleast point me in the right direction

Oh gosh, that sounds like a bit of a nightmare! I'm not that clued upon OU and courses so don't think I can be of much help.
I guess decide on exactly what it is you will be happy teaching and stick to whatever courses lead you to becoming that?? Perhaps it's not that simple?
Sorry not much help at all. Are you any clearer this morning?
